Our stay at White Sands resort at Maribago Bay
Very friendly staff. Over the week we stayed, the staff learned my name and was very helpful with any of my requests or inquiries

The pros were greater than the cons. Our room was very nice, although it was a little dark. The layout and landscaping was nice as was the size of the pool. There is a beach front, but not really a beach and you can't really swim in the ocean in front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good with enough variety and the food was good. Expect to pay to do things while your there as it is very quiet and isolated.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Although the hotel shuttle is overly priced, but the staff were very patient and good drivers and it was more for a piece of mind. Meters taxis are cheaper but they all have an agenda and we ended up paying extra every time we used them. If you can deal with the hassle, taxis are cheaper. Take a shuttle to the Alaya Mall. Lots of restaurants and shops in a new and safe area

We were warmly greeted with welcome orange punch drink. The bellboy lead us to our hotel room. The resort ambience is enticing, there are a lot of open spaces and greenerys. There are 2 nice swimming pools. What caught my attention is the coy pond in the center of the ground area where the hotel rooms are located. The hotel rooms are nice. There is a jacuzzi, hot water, and some vanity kit. We have a good view of the coy pond. The breakfast buffet is delicious. There are at least 5 viands, salad area, and desserts. The only dissapointment i have is the beach front area. Since im a beach lover, i was hoping for a nice beach front but it was not swimmable. The front was small and it was surrounded by docked boats and other water sports utilities. The rest of the stay was satisfactory
Nightlife Tip:
Go to Zbar, very nice interior by Kenneth Cobonpue. There is also a Tinder box for wine tasting. They serve a wide aray of wines, and they serve very good pizzas!

The hotels gardens and setting are very beautiful the beach is nice and the service friendly.

The White Sands resort in Cebu is located in a beautiful garden setting. The rooms are clean and neat, the service is friendly. The pool is large and overlooks the beach. The beach is white sand, however you cannot walk up and down as each property has a wall into the water. I recommend to stay here for a relaxing holiday where you can enjoy the well maintained facilities.

High Price but Unacceptable Low Quality Hotel
Great outdoor pool. Close to island for fish watching and snorkeling, 30 mins. boat trip.

The hotel needs renovation to upgrade the lobby and the Deluxe Room especially. It is totally unacceptable. The room is of motel standard.
The White Sands Hotel At Maribaygo should connect with Blue Water Maribaygo, so that hotel guests can use the island outside for swimming. The beach in White Sand Maribaygo is unswimmable,as even high tide the water is too shallow.
There is no shuttle bus service.

A nice, small, but cosy hotel. A big and convenient swimming pool in the center that is good for adults and small kids. Very beautiful plants that are taken care of. One more advantage - there is a fruit market very close to the hotel and a grocery shop just across the road. Taking a taxi just 15 minutes and you are in a big shopping mall. Staff - friendly and helpful.

We've just returned from our vacation in the Philippines and I am satisfied that we've made a good choice of the hotels one of which was Cebu White Sands. However, there is not much white sand left there, but in general this is a very nice and cosy hotel. Courtyard rooms are nice and big, the only thing that irritates is a nosy conditioner. Friendly staff. A fruit market is very close and some shops as well.
Shopping Tip:
Fruit market just 5-7 min walk, very cheap.

Delightful layout, generous room size, swimming pools and grounds also dining room layout provides guests with a 4 star plus experience in a quiet location. German management whilst I was staying lifted staff performance and attention to detail.

With enlightened management White Sands can offer a traveller a delightful experience; whilst the visiting German couple, Jochim and Dagmar lifted the standard it appears the owners have little or no resort experience which shows in their selection of local management and staff, all of whom had qualities and potential but needed consistent encouragement to achieve a steady service level.
Nightlife Tip:
Whilst present policies are in force, join the crowd and go out after 6pm at night. Whilst the hotel menu and food quality are good, atmosphere suffers because of hotel focus, the place is dead at night, even swimming is not permitted.

Cebu White Sands Hotel is a very good hotel for short term holidays. I just spent my time to stay in the hotel for swimming, sun tanning, eating for erasing my tired. But the only regrets in the hotel is while you're in the night time around 7pm to midnight it feels so silent, if it can make some dance music is much better.
