It's fine but it could have been better

The room given to us despite being booked into courtyard is in the courtyard but far from the koi pool, the picture is misleading. We got the last room which is farthest. The TV set from the start our four night stay was not working until we left despite complaints to the front desk and housekeeping. There was nothing much to do for kids but swimming. No shopping centers or flea markets nearby, staff is friendly and attentive but at the end of the line there is not much they can do or will do.

It was not what I expected of after all.

The place was under construction so it was quite messy and the beach is very dirty to even take a dip with. We checked out early at @ 4:00 in the morning and requested for a take out and the gladly agreed and was very expectant having read on reviews that they are qualified as "fantastic" place to stay. I was disappointed that there was no available packed breakfast for us and they reasoned out that it was too early to prepare. They must not have falsely made us believe there is on the first place so I could have bought and prepared food for the kids instead.

OK for a short break

security on gate: a comfort. grounds: well-manicured. food: very good and not over-expensive. pools: both pools very clean and japanese scuba-divers were not that instrusive, i suppose. room 102: "chabby chic" decor. quite shabby, but good shower water pressure, clean sheets, pillows and mattress (although it was a bit hard). ask for the newer rooms staring with "3" staff: lovely, but could be more attentive at breakfast and dinner. beach: very small, but raked daily. beach view: spoiled by a lot of boats moored in harbour. also, we were surprised to hear that we would have to pay a fee to sunbath on the nearby sandbar. jetski: we booked at 9.15am but they didn't warn us of low tide, so it took 10 minutes to push the jetski out to deep water, so our daughters only had 20 minutes ride.... although we had paid for half-an-hour. not happy. anahata spa: excellent and worth every penny. building works: nobody warned us of the building works, so we were not happy. although they stopped for lunch, after day one, we left the hotel and spent our time outside the hotel. also not happy to see the lack of health & safety procedures on the building site. you should warn guests about the building works.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do try to book an Islands Banca Boat Cruise... and book your own boat. Worth every penny. It is only 15 minutes from hotel (taxi 89 Pesos one-way), right-hand side adjacent to Shangri-La Hotel and cost a group of 5 people only 11,600 Pesos for one day including lunch at a floating restaurant, towels, snorkelling gear, snorkel dive and visit to sandbar island in marine sanctuary.

You can bring food and eat it inside the hotel coz the food @ the resto is little expensive

Great resort complimented with great service!
Great staff from frontdesk to the restaurant staff are just awesome!

The hotel is well maintained and has excellent service.
Restaurant Tip:
Just less than half kilometer is an awesome restaurant serving great food at very reasonable price. Dont miss out on MARIBAGO GRILL!

Resort hotel for the family
This resort hotel has a very approachable staff. They are willing to help you anyway they can. GReat swimming pool, well maintained lawns but ugly beach.

This hotel is really for the family. The facilities are all well-miantained and the staff of the hotel are all very efficient. The beach though is forgettable.
Restaurant Tip:
The resto has good food but rather high prices.
