A very trendy yet tranquil accommodation offering a close proximity to many of Cebu’s most popular attractions and beaches. Hotel Renovation Project
Costabella Tropical Beach hotel is pleased to announce a new renovation project.
An integral part of the current development plan includes redesigning the two existing swimming pools. The new and innovative design will enhance the outdoor tropical setting to complement the warm, refreshing & relaxed experience at the Resort.
The renovation on the 2nd pool will start on August 1 and is scheduled to finish by Septemper 15, 2009 (renovation of the first pool was completed in April 2009).
The 1st pool will be available to the guests during the renovation period of the second pool.
The hotel wishes to assure guests that operations will continue uninterrupted and every effort will be made to ensure the comfort of your guests.
The management would like to thank guests for their understanding.

A weekend break at the Costabella

Quiet setting with a clean beach and good pool area. Conveniently only 20 mins from the airport but not under the flightpath.

Isolated from the main road, needing to arrange a car or taxi through the hotel.

I am familiar with Mactan Island and chose the hotel randomly for a quick weekend rest after completing some business in town. It matched well to the website description. Service levels were good and the room OK although poorly lit as are too many hotel rooms these days. I was in the old two storey block rather than the new block on the other side of the pool. I thought it a little on the expensive side, specially considering the ocupancy rate seemed quite low. The restaurant food was good and reasonably priced but it was mainly prepared for the majority asian clientele rather than western tastes.

There weren't really any postives about my stay here...They even have rules for your stay, which is quite an interesting read, makes you feel like a kid again starting primary school !!!!!

Terrible Beach !!!!!

This is NOT a Resort at all .. and it's a misleading description by them to call it such.. It's a basic accommodation place that has a pool, one restaurant, and an expensive spa.. All prices are very expensive, and compared to what other places are offering, this is NOT good value for your money... Read the "Rules" section of the in room information, after you have checked in,, then check out !!!, for example, you are not permmitted to use an iron in the room, as it uses too much electrictity, so they will do your ironing at a cost to you..

Nice garden and staff always present. Very quiet, rooms nicely decorated.

Maybe the breakfast, a little bit repetitive with a lack of choice.

We really appreciated this hotel for its quietness, lovely garden and nicely decorated rooms. The lobby gives a good idea of what you can attend here. The staff is here to answer at your demands. Maybe the swimming pool could be refreshed and the breakfast needs a little bit more of choice and be changed more often. The beach is a little bit small but it is appreciative to enjoy a bath when you wake up. But in any way, it was very nice stay, relaxing and all our bids had been fulfilled.

Travel tip : We stayed in Cebu city and Bohol (ferry), Mactan island has nice bars and restaurants: Gustavain
