I loved the Costabella Tropical Beach resort. Rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless. Staff were friendly and accommodation. The gardens and private beach were superb
Shopping Tip:
Has a Shuttle bus that takes you to either SM mall or Ayala Mall. I recommend Ayala Mall for tourists as it has a lovely feel and plenty of outside eating areas where you can watch the world go by

we enjoyed the surroundings. clean, safe and relaxing. while snorkeling out at the pontoon, security would come out just to keep watch on our belongings. we were impressed. even boat touts offering island hopping were alright if you give a polite no. waiters were attentive and helpful at the restaurant. we just love the environment. we expected the standard room to be standard room, so no disappointment there. spa was relaxing. breakfast was enjoyable. beach was clean. swim during high tide and you enjoy. the only annoying thing was on departure, the taxi had no meter and charged p500. you are at their mercy since the resort is out of the way. it is understandable when you realized the taxi waited a while for a fare having come out of the way in the first place. good for quiet stay and families. many couples too.
Travel tip:
your expectation will make or break your stay. we didn't expect the moon, and got the sun and sea instead! for taxis, may be wait for the next random one to come along to drop off passengers rather than call for one.

Nice place to stay after 5 days of hiking

The hotel was very nice with a nice view of the ocean. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was great security. The only 2 things: If you decide to retire early it might be hard. I had the ocean view room and right outside my balcony and my first night I just really wanted to sleep but there were some guest who partied a bit too hard and spent most of the night into the early morning sing outside of my room. I also had some trouble with the wifi in my room. But overall I enjoyed my stay.

Lovely resort and awesome beach

The standard room was not as nice as the pictures showed but it was nice. Had a nice tv and all. There was noise from outside things moving arounf souded like construction but wasn't just the trees maybe. The standard rooms were in cabin type building bit not rustic, and in the palms. There was an awesome beach that was small but big enough for the guests. The pools were really nice and the food at the restaurants was really good but closer to wester prices. Overall the stay was really nice. There were never enough beach chairs though so maybe get out there early so you can sit with your group. Really nice hotel. The location outside the hotel didn;t have much so you kind of have to eat all your meals at the hotel not alot of options outside.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get a massage they were really good. The back massage was really nice. 45min of heaven

It was ok ok...so so but I guess with the price we paid for it I shouldn't expect for more as it's really that expensive.
Location wise, the website said it's very close to the airport, unfortunately it wasn't. So it's not a place to stay if you only have a day or two to stay in Cebu.

Great location
Great view from the top floor

Originally I booked the poolside suite. But after looking it over, my wife and I decided we needed something better. The front desk was very understanding and offered a standard room on the top floor of the new building for another 50% increase in the daily rate. Even though the price was much higher, the room was great. Since we were staying there for an entire week, I made sure the internet was working. It took them about 3 hours to figure out how to get it connected, but when they did the speed was more than adequate.
I have never seen a bed that big before. It was two full size beds joined together with a large foam pad on top. I think you could easily accomdate six adults on the bed comfortably.
The outside deck was also very nice. It had a table and chair and a terrific view. At times I could see about 10 islands.
Food as also great and very reasonably priced. A grilled lobster dinner was about $12.
