Good Hotel but beach was quite small

It was a good family- oriented hotel. The personnel were very helpful especially in getting taxi, and getting directions when you want to go out of the hotel. They were very nice about extending two rooms (out of 4) for late check-out so we could freshen up before our trip to the airport.

Costabella Tropical Beach Resort,

I don't usually stay in resorts, but I decided to give this one a try. I was pretty disappointed. The room was nice enough, but the staff wasn't very friendly. Everything was overpriced, and I always had to check my bills carefully because things were often charged incorrectly. The beach area has an ugly concrete barrier and the water isn't so good for swimming. It is isolated down a long driveway with nothing else in walking distance. The best things were the pool and the staff in the dive shop. The breakfast was also pretty good.

Over all a nice place to stay. Ground are well maintained. Personnel are helpful and friendly.
Location is nicer being in Mactan instead of Cebu City.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Located in Mactan which is a better place than being in traffic and congested Cebu City.

Was pleasantly surprised upon my arrival to find I had been upgraded to a premier deluxe room with great ocean views from balcony, TV, wifi internet and giant bed. Room service always efficient, beds made and towels replaced in a timely manner. Pools at location good plus if gets too crowded can always lie under a palm tree on the private beach. Food at restaurant good quality. transport via bikes, jeeps and cabs is never too far from the front door. Would definitely return to the Costabella.

On the Beach
The grounds are very very well kept and the day staff were all pleasant and friendly. Great Beach location.

Hotel is really nice. Situated right on the beach and protected by breakwall. Not much to see in terms of snorkling but there's an island across the way that can be accessed by a 15 min boat ride. They keep the beach clean, even going into the water to remove mossy growth. All sandy, no rocks. Loved that part. Staff we encountered were all very nice, friendly and informative. The breakfast buffet was fair, a bit dry and not served hot. BUT, the food in the restaurant itself was really good. Chili crab was just like my Mom would make and the steak was cooked perfectly as ordered.
Restaurant Tip:
For fresh seafood outside of the hotel, go to Sutukil near the Mactan Shrine. You pick what you want to eat and it is cooked to order. pricw will vary depending on the weight of the item you choose. Lapu-lapu(fish) sweet and sour style is really good.It's a clean restaurant and less than 100pesos via cab.

Large resort hotel on Mactan Island

We stayed 2 nights in a poolside double room (free upgrade from standard double). The hotel is of a good standard with high security and appears energetically managed. There are 2 swimming pools, both very well kept, one with a pool bar and loungers. The beach is attractive, good for tanning, but not great for swimming as it's more of a tidal pool walled most of the perimeter and very shallow. Safe for children. It feels a bit like cub med, once you're there there's not much close by so it's a long taxi ride or stay in and use the facilities of the hotel or multitudes of beach vendors.

Well that was lovely I must say.After a short break in Cambodia the food here was very nice.Clean and tidy with slightly over polite staff (hello SIR, good day SIR)Nice room's with poor lighting, it was a little bit dark. Overall I would stay again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
watch out for the perrenial filipina scam merchant's by the beach offering excursion's of various sort's. They will agree a price but they will alway's screw you for more.
