the hotel was in the city center and can be reached by all types of transportation including the jeepney. the price was affordable, the bids firm and the aircon was running. the only negative review i could give is that the towels have seen better days.
Travel tip:
if you are not that choosy about what you wipe your body and hair with, and you are on a budget, try this hotel.

the diplomat hotel was nice for what it is. the staff was very friendly. the hotel isn't too far from anything. but don't expect any frills... there isn't even complimentary water or coffee, and the wi-fi is charged.

Modest Hotel,uncomfortable beds and sheets
7
I have not slept on an uncomfortable bed as the bed there and sheets are damp. Towels are dirty looking(they can use clorox to whiten a little bit). The no smoking room we stayed in smelled smoke. Be ready to pay a security deposit of Php 1,000.00 (in case you leave unpaid chits???or lose your keys(duh).Aircon was malfunctioning too.Front desk staff never said welcome, thank you or good morning...not once.
I will not stay there again where I am not appreciated bringing business there.
Travel tip:
Be ready with a security deposit and bring your own smile.Lobby cafe service is outstanding.

good location but hotel is like a factory, noisy

cebu city is just another ugly filipino city -- offers plenty of night life action -- the island is beautiful , especially moalboal which is a small village by the sea, very picturesque and romantic, bring your own girl! no action there...
Shopping Tip:
best shopping is in Ayala shopping mall, not cheap though but very elegant atmosphere and plenty of dining possibilities

hotel stay is fun and worth it. the location is accessible to tourist areas (magellan's cross, santo nino church and plaza independencia) downtown cebu (colon street), cebu business park and malls (sm, ayala, robinsons and emall).
