It is located just beside a road, so very accessible. The staff are nice. It has two elevators leading to the different floors, a restaurant and a massage parlor at the ground floor. My only negative comment is that the rooms (4 rooms at the fifth floor)given to my group seemed to be smoking rooms, hence, smelly with cigarette smokes.

great location it worth your money

Diplomat hotel is not a new hotel . this hotel is located in the middle of Cebu city, its close to the new shopping mall and not far for Cebu city night life stops, the rooms are nice and clean . the staff are friendly , the food is great , dont book your room direct to the hotel if you forget your booking number its hard to cancel. make sure you book through hotel booking sites,
Shopping Tip:
try to visit the new hyper Robinsons not too far from the hotel

Warm Hospitality and Friendly Service
Rooms are clean, service is prompt, food is delicious.

they were patient about allowing me to choose the room i preferred since the non smoking room request could not be processed in the system. check in was fast. cable tv had the stations i usually looked for. hot and cold shower worked immediately. staff were helpful and had warm smiles which i truly appreciated.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Location is city center. Very convenient for both shopping and business.

A decent hotel for the price, it's a bit old but the friendly staff, free wifi and good location make up for it. I might try another hotel my next time in Cebu just to see the variety, but this is a safe bet if you need a cheap place that is safe and gets the job done.

Reasonable, slightly worn, business hotel. Taxis always available. Short taxi ride to Mango Square and Ayala Center.
Aircond is noisy. Window opens if you want a change from aircond (although you can then hear Mango Square at night). Wide city views (from higher floors).
Restaurant makes a nice breakfast although aircond is really cold. Only a few people eat there but it's difficult to get the attention of the 6 waiters chatting with each other.
Hotel reception staff are professional.
As usual in Cebu, don't walk too far at night.

Check out the up market Spanish restaurant across the road
