Amazing hidden gem
Quiet, peaceful place hidden just in the centre

Escario central hotel is a brand new hotel opened in Cebu and due to this fact almost no taxi driver knows the exact location, so try go remember the closest landmarks for navigation. But the hotel itself is definitely worth it, cos it offers an oasis of calm just next to very noisy and frequented street.
The rooms are spacious enough, aircon is working well and TV has plenty of channels for browsing, the only downside is lack of fridge, but a mini one can be obtained for only 100 pesos at the reception. The complimentary internet working in rooms quite okay, contrary to many reviews from the past. Beds are comfy, but if you travel as a couple i have to recommend the larger bed Orange room, cos the Standard Red one offers only very limited space for both of you.
Breakfast is not complimentary and has to be bought, but you have plenty more of other options cos just around the corner you have few very cozy pastry shops/coffeterias, same goes for lunch/dinner options and as a bonus you have there 24h working McDonalds and 7/11 supermarket shop to get you everything you need.
Thumbs up for the hotel, price could be a tad lower but otherwise my recommendation.
Restaurant Tip:
You HAVE to try the Zubuchon restaurant few steps from the hotel, arguably the best pork in the city, you wont be disappointed.

Very clean and secure hotel

This hotel is very clean and has professional staff. The rooms are big, not fancy but for that price it's perfect, there is also a small garden side with table where you can sit down and have take away food or a chat.

we stayed here a few times to undertake some business activities and found it to be an ideal base. the staff are helpful and happy and the room is comfortably appointed for a budget type hotel. there are a selection of shopping malls within reasonable distance. i would stay here again next time i am in cebu city.

I chose that hotel as It was a bit outside the city and a bit up on a hill as There was a heavy rain forecast for Cebu. Luckily it was not bad at all.
Nice, clean room, but without fridge. But I rented one for 100 Peso a day. In the 7/11 near by I bought all "necessary" things.
