Modern hotel in great situation

this is a regular port of call for me and i am never disappointed. the hotel is compact and ideally situated for central cebu shopping and business. the staff are efficient and always helpful e.g. checking me into my room at the earliest opportunity. even in the early morning, without any fuss. the rooms are very well serviced and always clean and pleasant. generally the atmosphere is friendly and the breakfast is well cooked and, when the coffee is hot, very satisfying. i will continue to come back here as my first hotel of choice in cebu.
Nightlife Tip:
Try the restobar upstairs opposite the hotel.

Great location as it is a walking distance from ayala (gaisano entrance)

Room was basic. Buffet was limited but good enough for the price.
Travel tip:
if you are taking a day trip to shangrila, no need to arrange transpo to back to the city. shuttle service is offered for p100 per person. shuttle can drop you off at sm or ayala. this beats paying hundreds for fixed rate taxis. i am not sure if the service is applicable in reverse. good to inquire first.

A comfortable stay

The standard room was pretty basic but very spacious and clean. We appreciated the complimentary bottled water and a small flask to boil some hot water. The wifi also worked very well. We had a good rest despite frequent bangings of doors by our neighbours (out of the hotel's control but perhaps hotel may consider better noise insulation). The breakfast's spread was pretty decent and had a couple of local foods that we tried and were quite tasty. Overall, the staff were friendly and it should be a fine hotel to stay in for a couple of nights.
Shopping Tip:
Ayala Mall is just a 10mins walk away from the hotel and there is a huge selection of high-end brands, supermarkets and fast-food restaurants there.

Great location, excellent breakfast buffet

I wasn't very impressed with the fact that we waited for some time for the airport transfer that we requested from the hotel upon booking. We had to call the hotel to verify for the transport service only to be told that they don't do airport transfers anymore. In the end,we had to get in line to hail a cab to reach the hotel. The least they could have done was inform us beforehand so as not to keep us waiting in vain. Toiletries was very basic, only shampoo and soap was provided, not even a disposable toothbrush and a toothpaste which is very important.We had to call for slippers as there was none in the room.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Buffet breakfast was impressive with a variety of food to choose from considering it was just complimentary for the room accommodation.

A bit noisy for rooms overlooking main street. Clean rooms and good mattress. But no strong water pressure in shower and I had to ask housekeeping to clean the room twice in 2 days!
Not a famous hotel but overall acceptable. Value for money let's say...
Nightlife Tip:
Can't be closer to Ayala. And walking distance to Mango street.
