Robert V. Families with young children United States of America, June 14, 2011	Great place for family on a budget Small garden. Lots of room to push baby stroller. We like the free pool access and very clean rooms. Friendly staff 9.3 This is our third time to stay here and we really like it. Great value for the price! The only complaint is that the food choices at the cafe is not very good and the kitchen is very slow when there are more than two tables filled. But Cafe George and Tinder Box, which are great places to eat, is within walking distance. They are a bit expensive, though. Crossroads, also walkable but a bit further, is also a good place for dining. Lots of choices there.

Gary S. Couples Australia, June 14, 2011	Clean, tidy and relatively new hotel. Fresh clean rooms and modern decor. 7.3 Once again I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. However... I have noticed that maintenance is starting to become an issue with standards starting to slip... for example, I was in room 101. There was a cracked tile in the middle of the floor which needs replacing. It is dangerous and if contacted the wrong way by a foot or toe a bad cut would ensue. I told reception but these things should be done before customers notice them! Another example... As one walks down the hallway to the rooms one can hear that the nice shiny tiles are now loose and dislodging from the floor... especially on the upper floors. These need resecuring before they also start to crack and break. The tiled area between the restaurant and cafe is also dangerous. Smooth tiles have been laid in the area but really there should be a rougher surface tile fitted. The hotel should also consider installing carpet in the corridors as the noise from guests talking, kids screaming and general racket can be quite annoying at times.

Couples New Zealand, June 14, 2011	Bad Location,Food Unavailable Gymnasium 4.7 Oh Philippines when are you going to come abreast with other asian countries in providing service to your customers,you are failing miserably,even Vietnam is leaving you behind. Restaurant Tip: The guy who has the most to win by providing a menu to hotel customers appears not to be the slightest bit interested,open early one day ,the next ,well that's anybodys guess.

Couples Australia, June 07, 2011	lovely hotel with friendly staff well appointed.. central to Cebu 10 we arrived late from tagbilaran but this never bothered the staff.they happily showed us to our room and were always friendly and cordial.the room was beautiful and the bed very comfortable. Hotel Feature Tip: when getting a taxi in the evening,be prepared for them refusing to turn on the meter.no matter how much we insisted the driver just refused and quoted us twice the usual price.

Business travelers Philippines, June 06, 2011	Nice Hotel rooms:) best feature of the Hotel is the Spa within the hotel and the nice staff 8 It was a great time to stay in this hotel because it is really relaxing with a spa in the hotel with very affortable prices. It will makes you really relax in a city of cebu. I just hope that the food service is about 24 hours:) But anyways the people are nice there so great time there. Travel tip: There is a gym inside of the hotel, spa and parlor so for those who wants to have a lay back time this is were you should be. You can swim also with a nice pool
Steven L. Couples United States of America, June 06, 2011	Holiday Spa Hotel Excellent staff 7.3 Is this a gym trying to be a hotel or is this a hotel with a gym? I would say the former. It seems like they throw in the hotel as an after thought. It costs about 250p from the airport by cab. Most taxi drivers seem to know the place. I guess it is due to the spa and the gym being here long before the hotel. The girls at the counter were wonderful as well as the doormen. I had early checkin. They charge 750p. I think it was reasonable since I was here at 0730 and checkin time is at 1400. They didn't have my room available so they put me in a temporary room against the outer wall with a pseudo window. The window looks into an empty dark space against the real outer wall. I guess when they built the hotel, they build another wall inside the original outer wall leaving a 5-10' space for insulation. The room had a faint smell of what I thought was roach spray. The rooms are above average. It was clean. Bathroom is small by western standard. There were very small ants foraging around so dont ever leave open container of food. The pool is an olympic sized. Unfortunately, it is used every day for classes by the gym. It is sectioned off into lanes for swimming practice. Sometimes, you can not use the pool because all of the lanes are being used for swimming practice. If you think you can swim all over the pool, forget it. It is not a family pool. It is a working pool. Pool is open from 0700-2100. As for the beautiful picture of the gym and wall climbing facility, it is just for the brochure. It lookes good but you have to pay extra 250p per day to use it. If this was a hotel with a gym, it would've been included as part of the hotel stay. There is no hotel package that includes breakfast. Why? They only have a little cafe. It does serve food but I dont think they can handle the large crowd. They do leave you alone when you're sitting there using the internet. Very nice people. Restaurant Tip: There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. You can walk, take taxi or hop on a jeepney. Be careful crossing the street! The street in front of the hotel is extremely busy. To the right as you face the street, there are a string of fruit stands. Further on, there is a country mall right across the U. of Cebu. To the left, there are also a lot of restaurants within walking distance. Taxi is always easy to catch. The hotel DO NOT own Holiday Cab. They only allow the taxis to park there. Internet is a joke. Wireless is accessible by pool side and inside the lobby. If you are lucky with a room by poolside, you may get wireless access. It is extremely slow. I guess there are too many people using it. My computer frequently gets identical IP address conflict because someone is using the same router port. Overall, room is clean. Staffs are very pleasant. I would rate it 3.5 stars. This is not "A Businessman Hotel with a Five-Star Facilities". PS I pay an extra $8.09 US/day for an extra bed. It never materialized. I actually stayed 5 days.
