Lovely hotel. Our stay could have been enhanced by just one small improvement - the floor lobbies smelt like a old pub with stale smoke ingrained into the carpet. Perhaps some fragrant flowers in the lobbies, or air freshener, or clean the carpets? Cheers,

New resort waterpark hotel, ideal for family.

We were booked for a deluxe garden room but unfortunately given a room at the 3rd floor with a view to the roof of a building which was partially blocking our view to the parking lot. we requested to be transferred to one with a garden view. For the price we paid it was rather disappointing. I am pretty sure most of the other rooms had spectacular views as you can see it from the upper floor lobbies so make sure you book an ocean view room. It is a new hotel and quite clean and presentable. The price for services and food are quite expensive. The beach were closed at 5:30 PM and the pool at around 8PM which did not give us enough time to enjoy the waters without the sun. I will probably only stay there again if I got a good rate for an ocean view in a room located on a higher level.

This place was a lot of fun! There are lots of games and music and the hotel was nice as well. Great for kids or adults who likes waterslides and games overall. However, if looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, this is not for you especially you might get pulled up to join in on the games. Overall good place!

As it was peak season when we stayed in this hotel, there was a very long queue for check-in. It took several hours for housekeeping/reception to get the room ready for us even though it was already past check-in time. This was a bummer. The hotel itself, though, is beautiful, although a bit crowded at the time we were there. Our room had a lovely view of the ocean but it was a bit smaller than I expected. The breakfast buffet spread was a dream. The hotel also has a good Chinese restaurant whose dimsum is worth a try.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Go during the lean season to avoid the crowds. Definitely avoid Easter time.

The waterpark is not large. I would say similar to a big public swimming pool (park) in Hong Kong. The slides are fun. Worth to stay a day or two. Restaurant inside is very expensive (esp. compare to Plantation Bay on the same island) and not much choice. If you want a good dining experience and don't mind the bill. Go the coral seaside restaurant. I had a great night there. Breakfast is good with many choice and included in the room price.
Room is not very new (consider it was open in 2009). But very spacious, comfortable, and with free wired internet in room.

we loved our stay in imperial palace. my son had a great time with captain hook water slides. the hotel is far from the city which i really like. my family just focused on having fun in the water.
Hotel Feature Tip:
We stayed in deluxe garden view. I will pick deluxe ocean view next time. What you can see from the ocean view window is amazing.

It is the best referral from a cousin in Cebu. Imperial Palace Resotel and Spa is indeed a great choice. From the first day to our departure we savor every minute of our time in the hotel. Beautiful and comfortable rooms with approachable and respectful staff. Extravagant choices of buffet breakfast from American, Asian and Chinese foods. My kids was so amazed of the swimming pools and the slides. It made our summer vacation fantastic and memorable one.
