This hotel was used mainly as an overnighter to catch a flight out of Cebu airport the next morning. Don't really expect too much out of hotels in the Philippines, and this was no exception. Base room, not kept up very well, dated and staff performace in no way is a standard. Breakfast tasteless and extra. But, it served its purpose as a place to rest our heads instead of the airport floor.

We arrived past midnight in the hotel and the front desk staff greeted us with a good service with a smile. We booked a medium room and its big already and with big bathroom. What i liked most of this hotel is its near the airport. A good budget hotel to rest for your next flight. It has lot of eateries nearby also. A good value for money hotel. Just don't stay the rooms beside the street if you want a quiet room.

Cheap budget hotel, perfect for one night

The room looked bigger in the internet but its pretty clean. We had a few hours to kill in cebu before we took a ferry to bohol. It was a perfect place to just hang around. It was not in the city center but it was closer to the pier which is what we wanted. It served our purpose :)

I always come stay here whenever i visit Cebu. They provide clean and comfortable rooms with great value. Also very convenient near the airport, no need to wake up very early to catch my early flight. Try this

i stayed in the uptown (1 of the 2 islandsstay hotels in cebu)hotel for 2 days then transferred here to the mactan island hotel. both hotels have no where to hang up your clothes.
uptown was so small that i had a very hard time even finding room to set my suitcase on edge on the floor between the bed and the bathroom wall.
so i got a double bed room (their room was 4 times larger than uptown)in mactan just to have a place to open my suitcase and lay out my clothes. they gave me 1 of 2 rooms in the back on the 3rd floor (long walk).
uptown ran out of water on my last morning there- they brought me a bucket of water to bath and flush the toilet- and waved my early checkin fee to mactan. helpful staff but note that uptown is under construction.
mactan has a restaurant in their lobby. i had the aged pork adobo for bfast the 1st day- recieved a small portion that was 95% fat. when i complained i was told that was normal (note- i've lived in the pi for 7 years. sooo. no. that isn't normal) when i complained again on paying my bill they were kind enough to refund my money for the adobo.
mactan gave me a quite room but no bedsheets till the next day. and the bathroom floor would not drain cus the floor sloped away from the drain hole.
i would recommend mactan- friendly staff and large rooms.
islandsstay hotel is a clean and friendly and helpfully staffed hotel chain. just minor problems that need to be corrected to be a top notch place to stay in cebu city.
