Maia's Resort has beautiful garden and cottages. It's small only has 6 cottages in total. It's near the beach, but has no shore, we wasn't able to enjoy the beach there but they have a pool, the staff will arrange for your island hopping. It's far from the main road so it's not that accessible, so getting out of the resort is difficult, though you can rent a motorcycle for 24hr and the staff can arrange that also for you. Fee for transportation is quiet expensive if you'll ask me. If you want to have a quiet time near the beach without the hustle and bustle then this is the place. The staff are friendly but I guess they hesitate talking to us due to difference in dialect. You have to ask them since they won't offer you anything until you ask.

the boss and staff are friendly and polite willing to provide even more for the guest.
our stay is not that great due to heavy rain and lighting that hit the water tank and electric.

Secluded Beach Resort for relaxation and unwinding
Wonderful garden landscape, clean room, quiete surrounding

This place is quite secluded und away from the main tourist area. We enjoyed it, as it was quiet and a peaceful place also for your children. The pool was clean and sufficient size for them to swim. Unfortunately the beach itself was not sandy. But the resort maintains a sandy beach and a spacious garden, well landscaped. The food in the clean restaurant was good and as we could choose from three different breakfasts in the morning all of us could be satisfied. The triple cottage we rented was sufficient from the space, well cleaned and orderly. The bathroom was large enough and well maintained. Possibly a small fridge or minibar would be well suitable for cooling drinks and water. Otherwise we have been quite satisfied with our stay and would certainly come back again.

Intimate and Peaceful stay
This place is well maintained, clean and peaceful.
6.3
This place is perfect for those who wants tranquility away from the hurly-burly of the city life and enjoy the soft kiss of the sea breeze while basking under the loving sun shine. The place was very well-kept. Nice clean green garden, not so much of a beach but got a small intimate pool in a friendly pleasant environment (esp. when you had it all for yourself). Food service was very efficient, didn't have to wait long for the food to be served. The room was simple but very clean. Friendly owners, Maia and Klause, and staff.
The inconvenience on this resort is may be the location. But overall, I would recommend this resort.

Private small beach, Nice bar & Garden
5.7
No complaints, staff were friendly they have a nice small private beach with garden. Bit far from the main district but doable with motel/resort transportation. Room comfortness do not expect anything just an old cottage with nice architecture surrounding. Don't mind revisit

Wonderful hideaway with excellent service
Secluded with beach and swimming pool, good food and natural surrounds, cottages were everything you need, nothing more, nothing less and spotlessly clean
8.7
We loved our stay at Miai's, not only is the service second to none, the location is a wonderful hideaway conducive to reading books, sunning yourself and relaxing. The trip from Cebu is a good three hours including 2hr taxi and 1 to 1.5 hr ferry ride but you never want to leave when you arrive. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quite, relaxing place to stay.

Lovely friendly low-key resort, outstanding staff!
Best beds in SEAsia, wonderful food, super helpful staff
9.7
maia's is a true gem. hotel have made a friendly, cozy, relaxing resort with luxury touches where it matters. the beds are the best in seasia (ergonomic, soooo comfortable and the pillow is just the right size! if you have been traveling in seasia then you know how rare this is). we stayed at a beachfront cottage, and this was really "barefoot luxury". we coul have our delicious breakfast on our terrace every morning, the grounds were immaculate, and every time we needed something we got wonderful help.
the beach is not much, but you can easily rent a moped or arrange for a transfer. you won't regret saying here!!!! would stay here again over and over again!!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Do rent a motorbike and explore the island! Paradise beach is the best, if you can find it! And the Virgin Island trip is worth it, though don't expect a virgin island, just a nice island with a beach to escape to for the day!
