Mango Park Hotel Review
Good air-con, 24 hour security, decent restaurant and complimentary breakfast, hot water in shower (had to wait a few minutes), free wi-fi access on each floor, and relatively easy access to anywhere in Cebu City. Fairly quiet in the rooms due to the distance between the road and the hotel.

The Mango Park Hotel is a budget hotel on Maxilom Avenue; in close proximity to Mango Square, Osmena Circle, and central to many shopping options (Robinson's, Ayala, SM). It's long time presence in Cebu City makes it an easy location to get to and from in a taxi. The staff there was always welcoming, even if they did need to be awakened at late night to provide me my room key. The air-con in the room and hot-water are sufficient. There is a lift, in addition to complimentary breakfast which was tasty and much more than just a continental selection of bread and fruit. Chorizo, ham, eggs, rice, cereals, breads, etc. It was always a nice way to start the day, and as is common in many of these hotels, it is best to get downstairs for breakfast around 7:30-8:30AM, even though they serve until 10AM.
Mango Park was a solid 2-3 star hotel worth it's affordable price and proximity to Mango Square.
Nightlife Tip:
Check out Mango Square which has many nightclubs and restaurant/bars. Very busy and happening place to be on a Thursday-Sunday night. Less than 1km from Mango Park Hotel.

Excellent buffet breakfast. Lovely pool on the 5th floor with good views over Cebu. Rooms were clean and roomy. We arrived at 7.00 in the morning and were not able to collect the key to our room until 2.00, although we were able to sit by the pool. As check out time is 12.00, it is not unreasonable to think they could have accommodated us earlier.

At mango Park you start feeling that you are really welcome right from the time your taxi swerves in to the premises. It is like a red carpet reception is arranged. Then come the porters, the gateman to assist you with getting out of the taxi and getting your luggage in to the hotel to talk to the waiting receptionist! In fact it is like they are just there for you! I must say that I felt like at home to see the children friendly atmosphare, and the family oriented karaoke for relaxation. I will definitly visit here again!

It is a nice hotel for the money. It is clean and the staff are friendly, but it does have that run down feeling to it. The WiFi is hit or miss depending on the room you are in. They use the old metal key for doors instead of the new credit card door keys.

hotel is clean and tidy. lady at front desk was very helpfull. sadly i had to leave early and she was very helpfull organising a lift to the airport etc. this hotel is fine if you have something else to do in cebu. do not expect all facilities as normal. aside from that no complaints.

One day Extension

I thought i would only be staying for three days but i changed my mind. I had to extend for one more day to enjoy the city and and night life. With my one day extension, I observed how the hotel staff served the guests in the dining place. They talked, give assistance and suggest food. Oh, they are really friendly. They are also nice to talk to. When I complained that the restroom bowl was not working well, they immediately fix it and i was really delighted that they took the action right away. It sank into my mind how they value much on the comfort and satisfaction of the customer when it comes to service.
Shopping Tip:
guests can take jeepney going to the ayala mall, and taxi fare going to sm is quite cheap. Yellow cab pizza is a couple of minute wall.. Bars and restaurants are just along the mango st.

We stayed at the Mango Park for 5 nights. The TV was very old and some reception staff were unfriendly. The swimming pool is on the rooftop and seems rarely used so it is a pleasure. The shower was broken in the first room we were so we transferred on the next day to another room with a view only of a concrete shaft. When ordering room service there was little table surface in the small room.

Three-day-holiday @ Mango Park
cute relaxing swimming pool on the roof top of the hotel. Friendly staff, reasonable room rate and simple light breakfast menu to choose from. Tranquil place. Clean, located in the center of metropolis cebu.

I arrived last February 03 of this year all the way from Singapore. The day I checked in I noticed the amiable attitude of the hotel staff. The sound of silence was alluring, I like it better when there is no so much noise around the place so I could enjoy and relax pretty well. The room was good for two, the room rate was reasonable and very affordable coz it's inclusive of buffet breakfast and a wifi internet is made available all over the vicinity of the hotel. The connection was good and it's a good advantage for me coz i can save money for prepaid internet connection, or my taxi fare plus my effort and time in going to the nearby internet cafe for my ON-LINE teaching. I stayed until 6th of february, my friend also like the hotel and the services like massage and the pool on the roof top of the hotel. In fact, on my second day I had a relaxing time with my friend while enjoying in the pool. It's windy and a bit cold though but we both enjoyed. We took photos and ate there too. If i will come back to cebu, I will never think twice in staying at Mango Pak Hotel. MONEYWISE its all worth it.
Restaurant Tip:
The LIGHTHOUSE restaurant is just beside the hotel. Fastfood restaurant is right infront and a few steps away. No need to go to the mall.

My stay was just a short rest stop between the airport and the passenger boat docks. For a clean and economical air conditioned room, Mango Park is hard to beat. If you're looking for a luxury motel with fine dining and a view, you will probably want to stay somewhere else (and pay twice the price).
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Motel is located not too far from where the passenger boats dock. Mango Park is a good resting spot before heading out to see the other islands.
