We stayed in the Mango Park for 4 days. For the most part it was clean, safe and inexpensive. The Staff were friendly and quite helpful, especially the Coffee Shop staff who went out of their way to help. My only complaint was about the quality of their wifi service, which was weak at most times and many times rejected passwords provided by the hotel or couldn't connect to the server. In their defense, the reception staff did say they were in the process of upgrading their wifi service to reach individual rooms and not just around the reception area and coffee shop, so perhaps it will improve next time I go there. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was cheap, clean and very safe and is located in the heart of Cebu City, within easy reach of shopping malls, banks, clubs etc. A gem in the making!
Inexpensive and Clean
Poor Wi fi
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The ferries to the outlying islands are only 10 minutes away by taxi, don't bother booking expensive packages to Bohol, etc from travel agents in the hotel. Just book a straight ferry return journey ticket from the pier (pier 4 or 6), then try to find a local tour guide when you arrive on the island. It's by far cheaper and you'll get good personal service!

I got this room for my girlfriends parents while they were visiting. The price was very good and the room was very good. I have stayed in worse and better but none no cheaper. There is a great resturant next door so you dont have to fight the traffic. While visiting the hotel was under renovations and the smell of paint or glue was strong but manageable. Then you could hear the banging of the repair men. Her parents ate the breakfast there and I didnt ask them how it was but I am sure it was the usual rice with something. I will consider staying there only if all the rennovations are completed.
The price was very great. It has great location
the hotel was under improvements and the smell of lacquer was so strong.
- Travel tip : just try it out....comeon..

Picking up and sending off friends (a couple of 2) I spent twice a night at this hotel. Each time I booked and paid a double and a single room for three people through AGODA. Whereas the first time everything went smoothly we made a strange experience the second time. They refused to give us three breakfast vouchers, the girl at the reception pretending that it was their policy to give only one breakfast per room. As we did not want to fight for the third breakfast, we left after a short and useless discussion and just decided not to book this hotel any more in the future. Our conclusion: Yes, the hotel is quite cheap, but as the saying goes: you get (or ironically in our case: you don't get) what you pay for.
Central location, quiet
Staff performance at the registration counter very bad (see below)

The initial service reminded me of Kevin checking into a NYC Hotel in Home Alone 2! The doorman comes and opens the door of the hired car or taxi that brought you to the hotel. Bellboys grab your luggage and stack it on a cart then wait patiently as you begin the checking process at the front desk. They swipe your credit card while you fill out the checking form, then hand you your room key. As you walk towards the elevator the bellboys push your luggage in and ride up with you. As they show you to your room and tell you about the pool and other amenities, you begin to feel the surreality of the service that most middle-class Americans have mentally associated with names like Trump, Gates, and Buffett. The non-smoking room I had on the third floor was nicely painted a bright color which gave the room a nice ambiance. The bathroom was nice, and the small fridge was great! I noticed rooms being renovated during my stay, so the hotel is diligent in keeping things updated. I loved waking up early in the morning and going up to the rooftop where the pool is. Early mornings the weather is very comfortable and the sunrise is absolutely spectacular!
Affordable rates with breakfast included! Very friendly and helpful staff (except for snooty front desk workers). Easy to catch a cab going anywhere you want to go. Very close to the malls and good restaurants.
Bring your own towels (and washclothes). Especially if you want to use the pool, as the ones provided are a bit skimpy. Front desk workers are NOT service minded. Wifi is limited to front desk area. There is no place to sit and plug in your laptop in the front desk area. If you sit at a table in the restaurant near the front desk area to use their power plugs, they charge you 50 pesos per hour to do so. They want you to spend money at their restaurant and leave tips for their employees (in the box at the front desk), but never have any change for your larger peso bills.
- Shopping Tip : Take the 50-60 peso cab ride to the SM mall! There is a Pizza Hut Bistro restaurant located near where the taxi drops you off. The food is good, the smoothies are incredible, and the bathroom is everything that a first world citizen expects. The servers have exceptional class and provide excellent service.

Location is better. But the facilities is so-so. Very small room. The toilet is very clean. The bed is very dirty. Running water is not clean. My feeling is so-so!!! The food is very good. A loud air-conditioning noise. Basically can not sleep at night. Hotel services in general is ok.

Mango Park Hotel has a good location in central Cebu City, close to the business area. The staff is very friendly and professional. Service and security is very good. One of the things I really liked was the hotel`s tipping policy. You are actualy adviced not to tip any of the staff but instead leave your tip in a tip box at the front desk. Thus you are not expected to give a tip everytime you ask a service, like having a can of hot water delivered to your room (which was by the way always done promptly and with a smile). Wish more hotels would adapt this policy. This hotel has a very good value for money. Nice room rates makes this hotel one of the most affordable in Cebu City. Free breakfast is included. The hotel has a nice top terrace with a swimming pool and nice view overlooking Cebu City. All in all this is a cheap but good hotel in central Cebu City that I would recommend anyone who is planning a stay here.
However, this is not the Hilton, so if you are on a honeymoon, I would recommend that you dig a little deeper in your pocket. Some of the rooms definitely need renovation. In my stay here with my family, we occupied two different rooms. One of the rooms had a rather good standard with bright colours and a nice view, while the other room was dark, gloomy and worn and with a solid concrete wall facing the window, thus blocking any view and adding to the dark and creepy feeling of the room. So don't expect the rooms to be all that cosy and romantic. However, they were actualy busy renovating some of the rooms as we were there, so I guess this is something that is being improved. One more thing that would make an improvement to this hotel is if they had a better variety of food at breakfast. I was staying there with my filipino family and they were more than happy to be served rice with fish and bacon at breakfast, but as a european, I want my bread, butter, jam, cheese, fried eggs and milk for breakfast. Wish they would blend in some european style, I like.
Good location central Cebu City. Friendly and professional staff. Good service. Good security. Affordable. Free breakfast included. Nice top terrase with swimming pool and view overlooking the city.
Some of the rooms are worn and need renovation. Could have a better variety of food at breakfast.
- Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : If you stay in Cebu City, you should make sure to visit the Taoist Temple.

Mango Park is situated within a 15 minute walk to Ayallah, 10 minute walk to Robinsons Mall and 5 minute walk to the entertainment scene
Swimming pool on the top level and the price
Front desk staff seem to be too enthused over the computer behind the counter. Restaurant staff can't do anything themselves have to be in 2's and 3's
- Hotel Feature Tip : In need of a massage? Go to the therapist next door 199 pesos and very professional - in house service is 4 times the price
