The Hotel was just okay. Staff were courteous and friendly. The location of the hotel is not that convenient, around 40 to 45 minutes cab ride from Mactan airport. The hotel offers free shuttles service though to and from Ayala & SM which makes the long travels worthwhile. The hotel is only about 10mins away from The I.T Park where there's a big array of food choices. So if incase you miss the shuttle service, you can simple take a cab to the I.T Park to grab a bite. The rooms were ok. A bit old, nothing impressive, but not bad either. The hotel also houses a bar/lounge up on the roof deck.

Marco Polo is located high in the hills of Cebu in an afluent area of the city. From the outside, it looks wonderful. the lobby is spectacular, and so is the outdoor pool. The rooftop bar is really nice. By the time I got to the door of the room, I expected the moon. When I opened the door, I was totally let down. The room wasn't awful, it was just very average. It was not at all what I had expected from all the lead-up.

It's not a grand new hotel, but still fine with me.
The view of the hotel is nice, overlooking Cebu city.

Updated hotel in a good location

My daughter and I had to move out of our home temporarily while it was under renovation. We needed a clean, spacious and updated hotel that was close to our place. Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Hotel fit the bill nicely. Having to swipe your hotel room card to use the elevator was a good security feature. The buffet offered a lot of choices, albeit on the expensive side. And yes, the sheets were nice too. We will stay there again, if the need arises. Thanks!

i enjoyed my stay at marco polo cebu. the staff is professional and friendly. they have shuttles available for free to take staff to malls which is quiet handy. i had a bit of an issue with the aircon in my room which they fixed eventually. their wifi is awful though! internet connection is very important to me and i was quiet dissapointed for the whole duration of my stay there is always problem connecting to their network. the hotel is almost what you should expect in a 5 star hotel.

Just stayed overnight due to an unplanned flight adjustment. Was looking for a decent place that was inexpensive, but at least had good reviews. This hotel turned out to be just that place. Check-in was a breeze. Location is quite nice in that you get a free view of the city (we were billeted at the 20th floor). Bar at the rooftop is also a good place to unwind, nice ventilation and the staff were quite used to helping tourists. Breakfast selection again provides good value for money, as the P750.00 net cost was very reasonable for what you got. All in all, a pleasant hotel that is well-maintained with very friendly staff.
