Excellent selection for breakfast buffet; rooms were nicely furnished and the bathroom finish was elegantly done. service was quick and valets were very helpful. room was smallish, and I kept missing my newspaper in the morning. excellent view of city and part of oceanscape a little pricey considering location the hotel had a large and bwautiful lobby with the front dest easily accesible from the front door. The lounge was classy and the cafe restaurant had a wide choice for the buffett choices. The rooms were beautifully appointed although a little small for the price and location of the hotel which required a ride to the nightlife locations downtown.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : the location of the hotel overseeing the townproper esp the lights during night time.

morning buffet, speedy service, expensive internet and pick up from airport very secure place which you could you bring your kids. Poolside was a nice place to relax while using wireless net. The staff do not push you to buy drinks and are very friendly and polite. Internet usage which is about US$10 a day is a bit too much but could use it thoughout the hotel
The buffet included Japanese and Korean food and I loved the fact you could have them juice you your favorite fruits and vegetables.
Nightlife Tip : bring mossie repellant

Nice views, great food and very classy atmosphere. Maybe a bit too far but they have free shuttle services to many areas. Great hotel for your money. A real five star accommodation. I just wish they provide free wifi service since the room rates are already up there. But their overall rates on services and food are not as expensive as other so called grand hotels in the area. Very roomy and beautiful landscaping. Will come back again for sure.

I've been to lots of hotels but I really enjoyed my stay at Marco Polo. All the staffs were so accomodating with a big smile in their face. The breakfast was perfect. Lots of foods to choose from. I will surely go back. I din't find any weaknesses of the hotel. I used to stay in one of the best hotels in Cebu. I have a business with that hotel.This time I decided to try another 5star and i chose Marco Polo. The feeling was very much different. It's like my home away from home. Everybody was so nice. The room was perfect and the food was really good. I even saw one of my relatives whom I've not seen for a long time. They told me they always stay in that hotel. This hotel is highly recommended for travellers

The staff is very attentive. The property is secure and safe as well as beutiful Some of the bathroom fixtures were a little worn but very clean They had many staff meet us at the door of the hotel and help us in. The food in the lounge downstairs is ok. The breakfast was fantastic. Serving many local dishes as well as western favorites. The hotel is a nice property and I would stay again

Everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel in Cebu Bathrooms are quite small Everything about this hotel was great from start to finish. The staff were friendly, the service was great and the rooms were very clean. Although the bathrooms were very small, it was manageable in light of the rest of the hotel. Even forgetting one item in the room after check out did not prove to be a problem, the staff helped out and let us back into the room without question.

Excellent staff, great food, beautiful pool area, good music every night of the week Rooms could be a little larger but that's the Philippines. Spent the last four nights of a 3 week trip at the Marco Polo and was glad I did. Pampered from the minute you step out of the cab. I paid more and got less at other hotels in the Philippines. Staff were very efficient, polite and friendly. Food and service were excellent in the restaurant but we spent most our time by the pool bar and restaurant. The guys there were great and was on a first name basis by the end of day one. Had a great view overlooking the city and Mactan Island from the 20th floor. But if your an early to bed person, I would get a mountain view room that doesn't face the pool area. The great bands by the pool every night can be heard but it's not loud, late or obnoxious music. Not much to do around the hotel but taxis are always available. All in all... a very nice hotel for the money and would definately stay there again.
Travel tip : Ya' gotta have the brick oven pizza and the organic salad by the pool!!

the service of the staff is very good n polite. the hotel condition is very goog and clean. the food also good. the most important is the room condition is great facing sea so we can the sunset from the room. the hotel location is quite far from nightlife and restaurant. marco polo hotel cebu is one of the best hotel in cebu city. the condition of the hotel is great with the amizing night view. the staff also polite to greeting the gueat. the service also good and it make customer easy to communicate. it also easy to get the texsi and other tranportation to go to the city center because beside that hotel provide the shulter.

Nice staff. They were without exception all very very friendly. The friendliness is celebrate thru every staff. Great to be guest! The hotel is on the hill. if you have a sea view room you are able to overlook the whole city. The hotel is great. Staff is perfect. Very well trained. The prices are moderate. If I will go back to CEBU this is definitive the place to stay. It is also very good that they have an ATM inside the hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : take taxi and go visit the church and the castle. take u around 20 minutes to reach.

A good priced hotel in a good location.
Very clean and the room was large with all mod cons and well serviced. What a rip of for all the charges you pay on top of meals and other services, you will pay one third of the bill in charges like Service Charge 10%. VAT another 15@.
Local Food tax. Local Beverage Tax. A good priced hotel in the Marco Polo Group.
The hotel provides free transport each day to the main shopping centres.
Taxis from the hotel to Town will cost about 150 pesos and are on the meter, hotel taxi will be expensive to use.
The hotel provides tours with a travel agent of many varieties to Bohol and City tours, seek a local tour agent and compare prices.
Hotel has good dining areas such a buffet or by the pool side, also on the penthouse floor, but be well dressed if going to the top floor.
All rooms are comfortable and provide tea and coffee free of charge.

Excellent room Service and In-room Massage Everything about this hotel is great. The staff is very friendly and the facilities are outstanding. The room was perfect. I enjoyed room service and had several in-room massages. The view from the hotel is great and it is far enough from everything that you will enjoy a peacful stay, but no more then a 60peso cab ride to all the malls and sights. Awesome hotel!
Restaurant Tip : Golden Cowrie is a great place to enjoy traditional Filipino food!

Steep internet usage cost. Marco Polo Plaza can compete and will surpass the so-called "5-star hotels" in the United States in all categories, with the staff's courteousness and expediency of excellent service topping the list. The hotel lobby is decorated and designed very intelligently yet gives off a feeling of being welcomed. The sea view room on the 11th floor offers a spectacular sunrise view, is amply-sized, spick and span especially the bathroom, comfy beds with down pillows and blankets and with very functional floor layout. The restaurant staff at the Marco Cafe greet and sit the guest to a table and address the individual by title and NAME !The breakfast buffet is an event not to be missed for it offers a wide variety of local and international cuisine prepared to perfection. After a busy day schedule, the Lobby Lounge offers a good variety of libation in a warm and cozy atmosphere where local talents soothe frayed nerves with soft sounds. Nice and clean rooms, very good and comprehensive breakfast at Cafe Marco, all around a very good service We stayed at Hotel Marco Polo for one week and we enjoyed every second in this Hotel. Everything was perfect, we didn't miss anything. And the very friendly staff made our vacation there to an unforgettable event. We just now are planning our next journey to Cebu and hope to stay at Marco Polo again.

I booked a smoking room with a single bed but I got a non smoking room with twin beds, it needed 3 changes to get the proper request room 1707, then 1505, then 1805. The hotel charges 1000 Php for early check in and late check out.
