Fair price and clean room
5.3
it has good swimming pool and clean rooms. however, staff are not helpful and sometimes rude.
far away from beach and .... it is actually more expensive than those surrounding hotels which have similar quality ...

affordable accomodation
friendly staff, not too fancy accomodation
6.7
if you love to go on diving and had a limited budget, this is a place to say. near the beach, they have a friendly staff who is always willing to help. if you run out of cash no worries at all as they accept credit cards too.
the only thing that i think that they need improving is the water pressure. seem too low especially if you're having a shower.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Very near Kawasan Falls just 30 mins away. You can take a tricycle going there. A nice place to see.

50% agoda discount- worth it. full price? no way
Each cottage is an individual structure, separated from each other. Very quiet sleep.
7.7
each cottage is an individual separate structure with its own toilet and bath. remember where you are though-- 4 hours drive away from cebu city so you can consider yourself out in the rough.
the cottages are airconditioned and have ceiling fans too. furniture is rattan and ok for the place, it fits nicely into the overall ambiance.
no bidet with the toilets which is pretty much par for the course for all european run resorts. this one is owned by a german so no bidet.
nice pool, did not try the massage, good food, a bit pricey but again-- remember you are in a far flung location so everything has its transportation cost. all the other filipino run resorts and restaurants are much much cheaper but not as nice. one gets what one pays for after all.
i paid agada discounted which was 50% off so it was worth it overall. if i had to pay full price, i would not have stayed as i am from the philippines and the provincial ambiance of the resort is something i've experienced many times before.
overall -- worth it with the discount but at full price? chose the lesser costing resorts and settle for what they have to offer is my opinion.
room tip: ask for the cottages way out in the back near the property back exit leading to the ocean walk.
if you are not a scuba diver, you wont enjoy moalboal
stayed july 2011, traveled with friends
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Kawasawan water falls.

Clean, spacious rooms and toilet and bath
Privacy, peaceful surroundings, affordable minibar, clean accommodations
8
overall, i would recommend marcosas. the room was spacious and clean. there was a 'cloakroom' of sorts apart from the room and bathroom. it isn't a luxury-type hotel, but acceptable by most standards. the only concern i have for this hotel is that everything (restaurant, front desk, pool) pretty much closes by 9pm. so get your grub while you can because this place and its general environs aren't the place for night life. thankfully, the minibar offered an affordable alternative as its prices weren't the usual over-inflated rates.
Restaurant Tip:
marcosas' inhouse restaurant, while convenient, wasn't really all that great. for the prices, you could do better by venturing to the other side of panagsama beach for a row of restaurants, dive shops, and even a bar (yes, there was only one bar). i forget the name of the bar, but it had the best pizza for about usd 10 - very reasonable for the taste and size!

We were surprised because the cottages are quite bigger than the amount we paid. :p
There are friendly stuffs, clean surroundings and more importantly peaceful environment.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The resort is closed to Badian Island where you can find the Kawasan Falls.

Beautiful location, well prices with nice rooms.
Detatched cottages, good size rooms, tropical gardens.

Marcosas Cottages Resort is a short tricycle ride from MoalBoal. The staff are very nice and the hotel has a great swimming pool. The cottages are detatched and very spacious. The price of food and drinks was very cheap.
The resort is well situated near the beach and a series of restuarants, bars and diving shops.
I would definitely reccommend this hotel for couples, adventurers, families or anyone to stay at.

deserves all the good comments
very clean great pool accomodative staff
8.3
stayed for a weekend. chose this property for the good reviews and was very satisfied. we arrived very early morning from cebu and they checked us in early at no charge. rooms are very spacious and pleasant. the pool is large and very clean. quiet family-type establishment or quiet place for couples
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
dont expect a beach. access to the ocean is thru a neighbor's property (200m). water is very clear and clean good for snorkelling but rocky shore. bike rentals start at 200php nearby and moalboal town is about 6 km. the much touted "white sand beach" (12 km)is artificial and poorly kept. kawasan falls is 25km south less than 1 hour by bike. no real restaurants in moalboal but has a market and gas station.
