I like the staff there, good service and clean. I like the room, but not the shower there. The water was not so hot, and sometimes only cold. And i don`t like to shower in the bathtub. Expensive internetconnection. Breakfast not so exelent, not european standard, but ok Its a nice hotel, and i really like the staff there, and spesially the boys at the bellservice. I feel home there and i am going to stay there on my next wisit also. Ok hotelcars for hire and not to expensive. I like the drivers there, easy to talk with and drive safe. Taxi also easy available. Nice garden and pool.

The people who care for the hotel Service at it best. the grounds well keep. the people are so helpfuly. the room are nice but need to step up the PM room program. but like most hotel all money spent in public areas The montebello you back in time to the quit Cebu of the past. the work all make you feel at home.

Great pool, nice grounds, good staff, great location. Front Desk staff not so friendly. Also they charge for internet and the connection is not so fast with the interface they put in!!!!
Needs reading lights by the beds I liked this hotel and will stay again.

helpful, friendly staff; excellent food; nice rooms; great cost This was my first time in Cebu area and I had heard many good things about the Montebello. I was not disappointed with what I had heard. The staff was helpful, friendly, and very accommodating. The room and food were excellent for the price and I had an enjoyable stay. The facilities are great and the garden is especially beautiful. I will be staying there again and look forward to the same friendly, caring people.

Beautiful grounds, big pool, nice dining, great breakfast, the staff at the pool and dining have been with hotel for a long time and are very good! Rooms are nice and have been updated! Love this hotel. Will continue to stay there when in Cebu. Front desk staff, all business and not much fun. They charge for some kind of internet service. The rooms I have stayed in (3 different ones)had no light by bed for reading. This is a great hotel and I will stay there anytime in Cebu, close to things and lovely grounds, and nice rooms. great staff.

Good staff, nice pool & bar area, nice rooms and great grounds. This is a very nice and easy to take hotel! I would stay there again and again if they could get there internet free and easy to use! NO free internet, as always it is confusing and irritating! Why do Philippine hotels insist on being so cheap as to charge the customer for internet!! It was hard to use and I would not stay there again because of it. If they every get easy access to the internet I will be back!! Great Hotel no negitives but the internet great grounds and staff!

Reception staff is very business like. When I checked in, I was offered a welcome drink but it was someone's leftover. The room is old and smelly. I felt that it was too expensive for its quality. I expected a classic and quiet hotel.

Lovely flora settings, decent food, many nice staff members, close to small shopping center. False advertising of pool(s)and services, some front desk personnel are not "people-friendly" or service oriented, old rooms, un-advertised construction! This is an older property with a lot of potential. However, more guest-friendly front desk staff would be a great start, as I was ready to leave within 48 hours of my stay. However, the remaining staff always picked up the ball that the front desk staff dropped, so I continued my stay for 10 more days. I only recommend this hotel for those on a tight budget, and not planning to use any of the ammenities, as they will "nickel & dime" you to death!
Shopping Tip : Buy room snacks & drinks at the country mall which is a 5 minute walk from the hotel... you will save big $$$$.

All the staff make you fill welcome, room was very clean, super safe location. Hotel is old, but clean, needs updated and a face lift. The hotel is old, in need of updates, but very clean, no a/c in hallways or dining area, a/c in room only, worked ok, hot water ok, bed so/so, price is fare, room comfort ok too, location is ok but could be better, short cab ride to anywhere, mails, food, other close by, I'd stay again because of price, cleanliness and over all nice staff.

hard to use internet I spent three nights in Room D infront of swimming pool. Steps are kind and location is not bad. HOwever, there is no refridgerator in my room. it's read bad. and the Water pressure was too weak.

Clean & tidy. Nice gardens. Staff very helpful.staff keep a good eye on things without being invasive. Staff tolerant of rude people. Does not have formality & coldness of 4 & 5 star hotels. Excellent swimming pool. Breakfast menu could be improved a lot. Hotel could provide more tourist information. Some parts of building need maintenance. I had no trouble booking in. Staff were friendly & always helpful. They were observant without being invasive.Breakfast menu could be improved. Swimming pool is a good lap pool & well maintained. Rooms were clean & tidy without being flash.Hotel is located very close to a main shopping mall which is very convenient. Staff were fiendly enough to chat with you.
Travel tip : In shopping mall I found an excellent dentist. caring & extremely competent by world standards.

Easy access to to Ayala ( 5 mins by taxi or jeepney)
Great Staff members.
Kids can go fishing in the small pool full of tilapias Far from the beach.
On occasion, I thought the pool is open to the public.
Definitely on your typical five star,sanitised, ultramodern hotel. but, what can I say. I intended to stay only for one night, but I fell in love with the setting, friendliness and the accessibility of the villa. For the price (using agoda.com) you could not ask for anything better.

It's VERY hot! Their is no AC in the hallways or the lobbies. The restarunts our all open with no ac. The standerd room is very small and the window ac is not very cool. The stairs are very steep my legs were killing us when we got to our room. They charge you extra for everthing. I was surprised we couldn't have anyone visit our room. We had a famaily member go swimming with us. They charged us for that. I was charged for all local phone calls. It sits in the back of a mall and it's very busy and hard to get in and out of. I thought I was staying at a upgraded hotal I was very disapponted.

near city friendly staff and affordable rooms a little older but clean a great relaxing stop great gardens and pools service was fine security reasonable didnt feel at risk from any problems a suprising oasis in the city i didnt expect to find due to location not far from a multitude of resteraunts and entertainment the only thing i would have liked to see was in room safes found this a bit of a problem although safty deposit boxes where a vailable at the desk stii i would recomend this hotel and would return myself

The Hotel was clean, efficient.

Food was good Perhaps not ideally located for my personal needs I have nothing but praise for this hotel. All went to plan. The room was clean neat and efficiently maintained.
As a business travellor I did not have to wait for cabs. Checking in and out was easy, breakafast was excellent as was lunch. The staff went out of there way to help me with some credit card problems I was experiencing. I had a late check out due to the time of my flight. I was not charged and was invited to continue to use the hotel facilities including wi fi for the rest of the day after checking out.No complaints at all. The way it should be.
