I am satisfied with my stay at Ocean Vida! The room are nice, the food in the restaurant tastes really good and the staff are very accommodating!
When I get back to Malapascua Island, this is where I'm going to stay again!

Room was clean and spacious. Near to the beach and serves wonderful breakfast. Staffs are friendly. Nice chill out beach area in the night.

Great hotel, service, rooms very clean, friendly staff, good food,
We highly recommend this hotel,
also important to mention the diving shop next door "ocean explorers" is abstly fantastic, service and professional wise.

Hotel in front of the beach

I have only stayed for a night and I havn't joined the most popular scuba diving. This is not a place for non-diver. But overall, it's clean and nice hotel and it is located in front of the main beach. Most of the resort and restaurants are located along the main beach also.

The best resort on the island I think

The room is spacious with natural and local style decoration.
No TV/radio inside that absoultely can stay away from the city crowd.
It's really good to take a vacation and enjoy sunshine and sea breeze here.
The restaurant provide nice European and Philippino food and I surely don't forget that tasty Italian risotto.....
The staff there are very helpful and friendly but the in-room wifi signal relatively weak.

One of the best resorts on the island

stayed for 5 nights in the garden rooms with a bunch of friends, we booked 2 rooms. you have to be careful though, of the room type that you booked on agoda. i thought i had selected 2 rooms with 2 pax per room, but after my first night stay, was told by ocean vida that my friends and i had to top up because our selection was for 2 rooms with 1 person in each room.
i thought if this was really the case, it shold have been highlighted to me when i liaised with the ocean vida management for hotel transfer etc. before i reach there. i could have sorted this out with agoda beforehand. kind of frustrated us because we had allocated only so much pesos for the diving & food and was made to top up the difference for the 2 rooms when in fact i couldnt be sure whether the agoda room i paid was really for 1 person.
bed was ok, blanket was a single layer of bedsheet, which left me cold in the night. also when we visited, the room safe combination lock was not working (you could lock but could not reopen) and they had to pass me the safe key to keep so that i could open & lock the safe. same for my friends room. also the water pressure was pathetic with no hot water even though there was supposed to be.
other than that, i had a great time because the diving was great. the rooms are basic and clean, with a painting in each room. staff are friendly. we stayed in rooms 17 and 19 garden view.

stayed at ocean vida for three nights, and wish i would have stayed longer. we were a group of three sharing nice garden room. price which included breakfast was very reasonable. lovely location and lovely staff. owner sven, his wife, and young son were very gracious hosts.
highly recommended for true chill vacation spot...be sure and ride the day trip to kalanggaman island if you go! the hotel is associated with the sea explorers dive group.
the only problem was the wi-fi was weak in our room, but very strong in dining room and by beach.

Very nice and comfortable hotel in Malapascua!

We had a nice and comfortable stay in Ocean Vida resort in Malapascua. The hotel's restaurant also provides good food. We tried other restaurants, but this one was the best. The Sea Explorer dive center affiliated to the hotel was also very professional. Will come back again!
