Room was big but with very basic furnishing. Inclusive breakfast was good. Hotel is located in a quiet area but very near jeepney line. Only one ride (10-15 mins) to Ayala Center. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful especially to local tourists. However, wifi was supposed to be available, but we couldn't get any connection during the whole 2 day stay. Bedroom slippers that were provided were not even matched in color or size.

Great location
The biggest under $60 room I've ever stayed at on the island!

I was surprised at how big the rooms were, how fast the Internet was and how friendly the staff were because it's such a reasonable price. Because it's down a sidestreet you think you are in the middle of nowhere but really you're very close to the Ayala mall and the nightlife district. Very friendly staff and a very homely feel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
If you're Catholic or like baked goods you're right around the corner from a bakery and right down the street from a church.

having stayed at this hotel before all i can really do is reiterate what i said before. you are i'm super close proximity to the ayala mall and entertainment district even though it seems like you're in the middle of no where. if you don't feel like walking have no fear of the taxi meter as it barely has time to go above the peso start before you are at your destination.
Hotel Feature Tip:
There is a small Philippino style minimart about 10 feet away to serve your imidiate needs and a bigger one with a bakeary right around the corner.

although down a side-street seemingly in the middle of you are actually under 10 minutes to the ayala mall and the biggest hub of night life in cebu city. super friendly staff and decent internet round out this quality discount hotel. the building and rooms are old but the amenities aren't uncomfortable or horribly outdated considering the price.
Restaurant Tip:
On a lazy to go out day I ordered a couple things from the menu and the adobo was surprisingly good at the hotel resturant.

when i go to cebu, this is my preferred choice for accomodation. it may be only small, but well worth it for value.
location is away from the main street, but its never a problem to get a taxi. you just call the front desk and they will get one for you - almost immediately there is one waiting at the road.
close to robinsons and ayalla - no more than a 10 minute taxi ride and about 60 pesos.
free breakfast is great - served to the room if you desire and and promptly. i went for the american breakfast - satisfies my needs very adequately. i even ordered from the menu for dinner (when i am too lazy to go get some food) and i loved the fish and chips but other items there are good for a meal and reasonably priced.
i stayed in the executive room - i like the fact there is a queen bed and a smaller bed there - beds are comfortable enough for a good night's sleep.
tv is wall mounted and a modern lcd - unlike some hotels with outdated ones.
water is hot (thank god!) - i hate luke warm showers - and with enough pressure to make the shower enjoyable. tip: takes a while to get the water adjusted to the right temperature, just be patient with the controls and after a while the water will start to get cold, so don't expect a 20 minute shower without getting a little cold :)
staff are always smiling, friendly and will help you with anything you like. there is someone there 24 hours at the desk. the guard there will help you with the bags or to get you a taxi, always with a smile :)
i also love the laundry service - drop clothes off before 9 am and they are returned that night.
i would highly recommend staying here if visiting cebu.

Get an Executive Room if you can - good value with the extra small bed there if you have a third person with you

Everything you need from a good budget hotel

arrived at check-in and the staff were very friendly and happy from the out set... this continued throughout the stay really put a nice feel on being here. very homely.
i stayed the new section were the rooms were clean and well maintained and also very spacious.
the only downside was that there was some renovation / extension work at the hotel during the stay, but that didn't cause any problems during the important/busy times
