Wish i had booked another hotel
really, nothing here to write home about

I was not alone in my grumblings
* Internet only worked in the lobby
* Breakfast was poor. Food not kept warm and poor selection. some guests had gone outside to buy some yoghurt etc to eat
* no bar except tins of only warm beer in the so called canteen area
* nothing outside the hotel within easy reach (poor location)
* would not stay there again

do not be deceived, there is no beach at all but a box with sand next to the sea.
the safe box is quite tricky with no instructions on how to use it but the staff was very helpful and patient,
taxis waiting outside or the ones that appear nearby will only try to fool you. they started using meter and at the mid of the way they would say: it is too far away, i am not going unless we set a price now, which of course is way more expensive.
if you are planning to go out of the hotel to Cebu City, then bear in mind that transportation may cost you between 400 and 700 oneway depending on the driver and bargaining skills. metered tariff should be 300 approx.
if you are planning to stay in the "resort" then consider there is no beach, spa is run by an independent operator and I am still trying to figure out why it is called a "resort". It is a plain hotel.

nice view from the balcony and very friendly staff. room was old and worn. in the living room there was millions of the small anz, and those take over to toilet and bedrooms as well. breakfast was not good at all, luckily they did some fried eggs for kids to eat. internet was working only in the main lobby, but even there it wasn't very stable. pool area was nice, but most of the time accomodated by divers. there was diving club, training center and shop in the hotel, so they were practisin in the pool.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
beautifull underwater life - go for snorkling or divin!

Good Canteen Staff + A Very Nice Spa
Scuba School is conducting a class at hotel's pool. A very relaxing and Clean Spa

Room is big for 2-3people but the cleanliness is not there. You have to share the pool with scuba class. You can't go to the beach area to swim as only small passage way link the hotel to beach. Management is not keen on giving "Late Check-out" as friends were asked to leave max 1pm otherwise , need to pay extension. Our stay were save by good canteen staff + Good Spa.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
5-10mins ride away from Lapu-Lapu shrine.

hotel is located on the same island as the airport. this is very comfortable as you are there very fast. if you take a taxi at the airport (take only the metered ones) make sure that your driver knows where to go (apparantely there are two palm beach resorts in cebu).
hotel staff is very friendly, rooms are big and clean. standard room has no balcony, but a window. aircon in the room.
there were almost no other guests than us. and the few ones that were there, were all koreans. so it was really silent, besides of the cock of the crows the whole night and morning.
breakfast is ok. dinner was not served as the restaurant was closed in the evening.
spa is very good. i had a 1 hour massage which was just perfect!
dive center is ok... guides do not speak english very good. had my own equipment with me (besides bcd and reg --> borderline). dive spot in front of the hotel is very nice.

OK hotel but not good value for money

pictures of the hotel looked better than the actual hotel. the room is spacious and clean. decent food, generous servings - although a bit pricey. the location is far from shopping destinations - cost me a fair amount of money to get around via a taxi. there was also no beach. wifi is also not available inside the rooms.

This place an be a nice lttle hotel with better management and staff training.Unfortunately nice staff does not equal competent staff . The service phnes reverberated through the hallways from early AP until late PM.The breakfast is disastrois with only coffe as an option. As far as the dive center goes.AVOID

we took this hotel for the simple reason that it was the cheapest available when we were scanning for a place to stay. since we're not sure how long we'll be staying we opted for the cheapest. well, the pictures look good in the internet.
we, particularly our local taxi driver, had a hard time finding the hotel. it was hidden in one of those small streets in mandaue city, cebu. it was a bit isolated.
when we finally got in, the staff were courteous enough to greet us with a smile. then we were to our room and when we got near it you can smell the scent of an insecticide. true enough, our room was filled with this odor.
i tried to make an outside local call from the room but was told that this is only allowed if you use the one in the front desk. we tried internet, but the signal was too poor that we were again told to just go to the lobby for a better signal. the food was not that good either. we saw its real rates in one of its print ads lying around the hotel. we found out that if not for agoda, i don't think their price is commensurate with their place. it's twice the agoda's price.
in short, the hotel personnel were really courteous, but the service in general is terrible.
