The hotel facilities are very great, especially they have a lot of water sports and a private beach. The staff is very nice and friendly. The swimming pool are clean and nice but you can only get the towel with the vouchers, which are a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. The restaurants in the hotel offer various kinds of food and the best one is Fuji.

Plantation bay staff were really friendly and helpful. Resort room were great, well appointed however the resort was a little tired and dated. Great for kids with the different themed areas. Lagoon size was great and a swim up pool bar is always fun. The food however was not great and there are no places near the resort for eating options.

The stay there is not so pleasant coz the staff there seem like just like to serve Japanese n Korean customer,and they attitude is definitely no to me!! I ask them to get me a can to the city and they actually drag it for an hour!! I won't go back there again!!!

Great Resort but the services are lacking

Great place to stay and have a vacation. Love the view, the different pools, swim-up bar, and other facilities. Only bad thing I could say is the service. I did not feel that this was a 5 star resort because of their customer service, and they seemed to cater more to the foreigners compared to the locals. I also did not like that there is an extra person charge if you get a room. I just think it is not necessary since the resort itself is already expensive! I live in the USA and whenever I go to 5 star resorts, I feel like a king and treated as one as well. They don't charge me for extra persons or guest to use the facilities. The food is good, but expensive and the service is not at par with this 5 star resort.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Go to the kayak 20 mins before they close, they let my friends and I use it for free since they were about to close it.

처음에 갔을 때 라군사이드에서 워터엣지로 업그레이드 해준다기에 좋아라하고 갔는데, 라군사이드 방을 보여주면서 업그레이드 된거라고 해서 프론트 직원의 트릭에 실망했습니다. 프론트직원들이 얼굴에 표정이 없고, 그다지 친절하지도 않고 사무적이에요. 호텔은 지은지 꽤 오래되었는데도 renovation을 안해서 방은 (타 호텔에 대비) 넓은 편이지만, 시설은 별 네개 정도랄까요? 그런데도 레스토랑에서는 별 다섯개 수준으로 가격을 받아서 정말 사발면 같은 간식거리 챙겨가는 건 필수입니다. 카레 (삼사만원) 를 시켜도 밥을 삼천원 가량 주고 따로 시켜야하고, 삼만원 대의 초밥을 시켜도 육천원 정도 미소를 따로 시켜야 하는 등, 거의 모든 것에 돈을 많이 청구합니다.
바닷물 수영장이 좋아서 한번 쯤은 가볼만 한 곳이라고 생각되지만, 별로 다시 갈 필요는 없는 곳 같군요. 위치가 공항에서 멀고 주변에 아무것도 없이 외져서 택시들이 잘 안들어가고, 따라서 한번 호텔에 들어가면 택시잡아 나오기가 너무 힘들어요. 따라서 호텔에서 따로 렌트카를 해주는데 그 가격도 매우 부담스럽답니다.

how many times we see hotel's advertisements photos that look nice but when you see it personally it's disappointing. not plantation bay, it's what you see in photos, it's what you get. it's reel and real. from the moment staff welcomes you, it's nice feeling as if you belong to a family. there are few hotels that has that genuine smile, genuine help, quick service and exceeding guests expectations. we were eight people that checked-in and the receptionist pointed out that the rooms are for two adults and two children for each room but we were five adults and three children, so we have an excess of one adult in one room instead of a child. the duty manager advised that they are concern with the welfare of their guests but as long as we are comfortable in two queen beds each rooms that would be fine. indeed, we're not only comfortable in our rooms but also we enjoyed the hotel as a whole, from dining to hotel's amenities and facilities. also, it's great value in your hard earned money -- free airport transfer and free wifi everywhere, unlike other hotel's advertisement free wifi but only in the lobby. kudos to staff and management of plantation bay, well done....keep it up....we'll recommend....we shall return.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I'm sure it has been said all over again that once you're in Plantation Bay you don't have to go anywhere as everything is in there from the restaurants they have, activities and facilities, of course it's a must to go to historic Mactan Shrine and Sto Nino Shrine.
