situated in prime district opposite ayala mall - for shopping, movies and meals.
a good base in cebu city, close proximity south bus terminal and pier (15-20 mins via taxi) for access to other parts of the island, or to bohol.
good rest, warm and helpful staff ready to answer enquiries and give directions to destinations, superb location, great value for money... extended 3 nights hereafter.

We checked in to a room with a very smelly bathroom...
We called operator to ask someone to come and check or we need to change to another room... It took more than 30 minutes (we called 4 times) for a housekeeping to come over and spread some perfume spray in the bathroom. This help a little bit at first... But after we come back after 3 hours....the bathroom turns to be smelly again... We called the operator to request for a change of room... It took another 30 minutes to get the new room. (I think people in Cebu are generally with slow pace...) The good thing is they send over the bell boy to help with the room transfer, that is very quick and helpful.
People there all looks and sounds very friendly.

On entry you pass through a metal detector and have your bag checked. Hotel is huge and clean. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel asks for p1000 per night bond against minibar or cleaning. This was 1st time asked for this.. but got it back without trouble. Walk across the road to Ayala was fine as theres a crossing guard that puts his life on the line to stop traffic for you. Looked at the pool but didnt swim, but maybe if i stay there again, I will. I never ate in their restaurant as Ayala was across the road. Wifi was crap and didnt work once you left the entry to my room. Had to stand by door/bathroom in order to get connection.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Awesome location to base yourself for sightseeing Cebu. Start at Ayala and go from there

It was so relaxing that we rather stayed inside the hotel room than to go around the city. The hotel is located across Ayala Mall which makes it easier to stay when you want to roam around the mall.

In the few months I have been travelling trough Asia this was one of the most nicest places to stay. The staff was very friendly and willing to help without beeing to pushy. The accomodation itself is very well looked after and the rooms are nicely kept. The breakfast has a nice array of options and the pool was very refreshing.
Shopping Tip:
Right across the street is a shopping mall conveniently located, however take the jeepney from the platform to the other mall its a cheap ride and has a wider range of options.

This is a welcome addition to the cluster of new hotels around the Ayala Mall although crossing the main road to the Mall can be tricky with traffic coming at you from different directions !
The Quest has been well designed with a comfortable lobby, fabulous dining room and fast efficient lifts. However the bedrooms are small but functional. Good tv, okay bed, aircon and lighting. Small shower room but the shower compartment itself is a good size and plenty of hot water.
The food is excellent with plentiful and good quality buffets for both breakfast and supper. Staff have been very well trained and were charming and knowlegeable. The pool is a decent size but more sun beds required not chairs.
