Good spot for snorkeling, very simple bungalows

The rooms were a little run down and in need of a good clean. One dresser could not even be opened due to the heavy mold smell. The room did not have a minibar or any fridge like they claimed. It would have been nice to have a spot for cold drinks since it was quite hote. The beds were comfortable, the AC worked fine, the pool was clean and refreshing and other than feeling like the place needed some TLC, it was good. The resort is right on the water and the sunsets were great. The breakfast was good and the staff was helpful. We joined a dive trip out to one of the islands to snorkel and it was an amazing experience for a fair price even renting all the snorkel gear.
Restaurant Tip:
Down the dirt path that follows the water, there is a good little spot called the Last Filling Station that has great brick oven pizza and other delicious meals. We ate here every night.

Needed some maintenance and care in the form of amanities, but when asked those issues were immediately fixed. Friendly front desk en restaurant staff.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't go far. Stay there, if you like snorkling or diving. A top location for these activities, but not much else to do. Several other resorts with restaurants and SPA's within just a few minutes walking distance. Tourist attractions in the envirenment can be reached by tricycle. Apart from tricycles, no taxi;s around in Moalboal.

Good Hotel, Great Scuba Diving

first of all there is really only one reason to go to moalboal: scuba diving. there really is no other reason to go there as a tourist. but the diving is incredible. the hotel is clean and comfortable, but no frills. my room did not have air con, but i only really needed the fan. the dive shop was right at the hotel. the dive masters and boat crews were excellent, and only charged pesos (about ) per dive (its more if you rent the equipment). the dive sites were less than ten minutes away by boat. the staff was friendly and competent. the receptionist even lent me cab fare when i arrived. i had assumed that there would be an atm in moalboal, but there isn't.
Shopping Tip:
There are no ATMs near the hotel. The closest ATM is about 3 km up the road at a pharmacy in the next town. Bring cash for anything that you don't plan to put on the hotel tab.

friendly, bounty place for vacation

I went there alone, and had great time.
The view of the ocean was great, panoramic and as azure as it can be...
Visaya divers had great dive instructors and dive masters with them who give diving an extra fun.
Each boat ride to dive spots was beautiful.
There are enough sunbeds around the swimming pool which has a bar just adjacent to it.
Arista restaurant and La Payag bar provided me with excellent meals and drinks... Banana pancake was one of great experiences I had in Philippines... Ones going this venue, must try banana pancake for breakfast.
The most surprising thing was that I could have breakfast for free, which was not mentioned on Agoda.. so before you go, please contact them and check if it's included..

A Good Seaside Resot
Good location of the resort and its provision of diving sports

The resort location is close to the seaside and thus the view was very good. The sea breeze at night was not hudmit and cool. It was confortable and enjoyable especially at night to view stars.
The diving and snoklling sports that the resort provided were very professional. The coach and the crews were nice and experienced. They provided very good services.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The hotel is close to the seaside and the view is wonderful.

Best place in Moalboal

we had been at quo vadis the 2nd time this summer and it is really a great place. it's located on the water and you can go for snorkeling or diving just in front of the hotel. the hotel offers a good sized pool, nice relaxation areas and 2 good restaurant as well as a bar. it's quiet compared to most surrounding places and good for a couple or families. the resort offers daily 2 boot tours as well as regularly tours for the whale-shark-watching, which is possible about 2 hours from moalboal. this time we took the seaview room with a/c and it was great and i would anyone recommend to stay there if he visits moalboal. you can go to the white beach with a tricycle in about 15 minutes if you like to relax at a beach.
Restaurant Tip:
Go to the local market in Moalboal, buy some seafood and get the restaurant in the resort to prepare it for you. It's amazing!...and they just charge around 150 Peso per kilo for the preparing.

Very good stay.
Its a small place anyway. 15 minutes and you can cover the whole stretch of beach.
Buy a 6 litres water from the J n J provision shop just outside.
The tap water has some white minerals in it.
Walk to Action Adventure for some land and river adventure.
2500 peso with BBQ lunch included.
I did a dive adventure dive adventure dive.
Walk further down to the Chili Bar stretch for more foods and pub.
WiFi is only at reception and pool area, they say they are extending the WiFi.
Connection is a little slow, video Skype keeps breaking.
Other than that, everything is great.

Great diving resort, little else

Goood value for money. You get what you pay for. Rooms are spartan as are facilities, but there's a pool, very reasonably priced restaurant, bar with good view from sitting area, and a busy dive shop. From what we saw of other lodging in the area it was the best, but that is relative. This is not a luxury resort. If you don't dive or snorkel go elsewhere, but if you do, then it's a great spot as the reef was fantastic. The resort itself didn't live up to its rating. Wife was in tears when she first saw the room, beds and bathroom, but she's never been to a dive resort before, and she was very happy once we got her snorkeling, as Moalboal has the best house reef we've ever seen. Just walk into the water and put your head under for a huge variety off corals and life. snorkeling was great as we're the dives
Resort failed on airport pickup, something we noted in prior posts for this resort and others. No worries. Just caught a taxi from the stand at the airport. Price was same as quoted by resort. Got an MPV for 2400 pesos. The lady at the stand tried to charge more for MPV, but I said no and got it for same price as a car.
Spent last two days at another resort on White Beach, 15 min by tricycle. Beach there was nice, but reef was identical.

room was decent and clean, and all the staff I met was very friendly and ready to serve my request with smile. Actually one of the hotel staff made some mistake, and I coudn't get a pick up transfortation serive from Cebu, which I booked by E-mail. At that time I was quite disappointed. Yes their service was not well organized as big city hotel, still good value for money.
Restaurant Tip:
you can find some restaurant alongside the Panaksama beach road. Restaurant of Tipolo beach resort and Chilly restaurant was good.
