In all a good stay at this hotel as stayed there before.
Front of house manager very helpful,the only down side had to wait two hours for hot water to make coffee so dont order hot water during dinner or lunch service you will have to wait a long time.Had dinner as that was very nice,but some of the dinning staff need to be more helpful and look like they enjoy there job.

Old fashioned hotel near airport with rooftop pool

Belavista hotel is in Mactan where also Cebu airport is situated. The hotel offers a convenient pickup service.
We were put in the back of the building in an old-fashioned room with manky fittings (bathroom finishing was below standard: dust and animals in the light, old tabs, paint smeared on tiles). The worst though is that we did not have any window view. The window looked upon a wall.
The rooftop pool is certainly a plus and you have an interesting view from there - but due to surrounding slums and smog, the 'vista' is not 'bela'. The waiters at the pool are very pushy and ask 10 times per hour if you want to drink.
Breakfast is very nice though. Lots of choice on the buffet. Fancy lobby & restaurant interior with nice xmas decoration (when we were there).
Reception staff gives little information when checking in, so we had to ask ourselves when breakfast was, we discovered by chance that there was a pool, etc...
Only wifi in the lobby.
Money exchange in the breakfast restaurant - has ok rates.
Difficult to hail a cab or jeepney into Cebu city because all taxis and jeepneys tend to be full before going over the bridge into Cebu. So best to 'order' a cab.

Excellent stay.
We are return customers.
Every time we stay here it is always a good stop. The Breakfast buffet provides a good selection of foods and drinks.
Rooms are very clean and the room service is excellent here.
Nice soft mattresses and pillows.
This hotel is definitely a favourite.
Only one small minus - We found that the Wifi was down throughout our stay this time. Even in the Lobby area.

Make use of the room service Menu. Well worth it.

beautiful hotel.decor very nice.pool and food place on roof,very beautiful.when booking this hotel,booked a queen size bed ,but was given 2 single beds,had to pay extra to get queen bed,not impressed but would still stay here again.
Shopping Tip:
not close to shops,have to walk or catch taxi 5 min.the breakfast was the best.money changer good value inside hotel.no major shops close by.but 10 mins to airport

Location is good which is near Cebu Mactun airport. Free one-way hotel car can be arranged upon request.
But, quality of room and hotel building is very poor. Food in restaurant is less than normal. There are no attraction places around the hotel within a wlking distance. You must stay in Executive or Suite types. Don't stay in Delux type because there is no window in Delux type room.
Just for a economy short stay only. Nothing else can be expected.

it was really one unforgettable experience! food was really good... their body massage service are excellent! view at their rooftop was excellent and one can see the city lights and the bridge.. i also specially love their built-in radio that plays love songs at all times... it really created a relaxing atmosphere... their staff are all friendly and nice from the guard to receptionist and then to room service people... i really like it there...
Hotel Feature Tip:
TV aint got a nice reception though... :( But its good if you just want to cuddle with someone and just spend some quality time together...

The is an ok hotel

The aircon is very bad and there is NO air circulation so only a short term stay my be 1 or 2 nights
I have told the hotel 3 times about the bad and hot air circulation but they do not respond in any way
Other than aircon the hotel is good

lousy service - each request took too long to be completed by the staff & usually required several follow-ups.. rooms were poorly equipped (they didn't even provide us with a bottle opener & the bathroom had a faulty faucet/clogged drain).. on top of it all, the manager was very rude & one staff member delivered our breakfast orders too late & got it wrong (which terribly inconvenienced us, as we were scheduled for an early check out & one of us was fasting at the time as well, which required her to have an early breakfast meal).. overall, a very unprofessional & inept staff
