it was very nice that might be the first great hotel in cebu .and it is somehow cheap compared to other good hotel.it makes me feel that just like a five stars hotel .everything there is quite good .but hte wifi there is not quite stable .i should go outside of roome to get a stable wifi.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was large and comfortable.
Goos swimming pool. Wi Fi services was no problem
Taxi's readily available made outings no problem.

great staff couldn't overcome ridiculous design

unfortunately disappointing from the moment i saw the room itself. the bed sat 10' away from a gigantic power transformer just outside the window and there was no door on the bathroom. i was told this was part of the room's 'unique design'... so i asked to change rooms. the friendly staff quickly obliged me.
away from the transformer to a room with a bathroom door. in this case a clear glass door. and a glass wall. a curtain covered the glass wall, but the glass door had no curtain, thus the bathroom, no privacy. and this room had no luggage stand, no dresser. the first room had both. when i asked why this room had no option to place and open luggage, i was told it was due to each room's 'unique design'.
i'm sorry if i offend the more ascetic artists among us, but "design" in lieu of practicality, much less creature comforts, is no design at all. if the henry were only a 'concept hotel', cool. but stay there? not again. despsite perhaps the friendliest, most attentive and courteous staff with which i have ever dealt.

The Henry is an excellent hotel within walking distance to nice restaurants and Spa of Cebu is conveniently located in the same complex. If you exit the hotel and walk to your left for 30 minutes up the hill, you will see some of the nicest homes and gardens you will see in any country. A vibrant place to stay while spending time in Cebu City.
