Peaceful Quiet Secluded Resort
Great staff, good food, beautiful sunrise, amazing coral reef.

this was my second stay and the reason i came back was the value, good food at a reasonable price, accommodating staff, the secluded location, the fantastic sunrise and the coral reef just off shore. the web site says this resort is off the beaten path, and it is...just what i wanted. but close enough to be near my business appointments in daanbantayan. for a resort, the prices for food here is very good, yes, you have to wait for the food to be prepared, but its right there on the menu and also on the web site and it makes sense that nothing is pre-perared and everything is prepared fresh. the chicken alfretada is a must as well as the calamaris. the chop suey and fried rice are the signature dishes of the resort. i only paid of a standard room and got a free upgrade to the superior room. free wifi and the signal was fast. will certainly be back. oh, by the way, the resort is not perfect but the positives certainly outweigh the negatives. will come back again and again.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Sunrises here at this resort are spectacular...blown away by the peaceful serene nature. Same with the coral reef just off shore...a must!

Off the beaten path, but excellent value!

i choose virgin beach resort as it was nearby to my business appointment tho it is not your typical business hotel. they do have free wi-fi in the main part of the hotel, but signal is weak in the rooms. the staff spoke excellent english and they even helped me text my business appointment...very helpful indeed. i found out that i could be served dinner by the sea at no extra cost (enjoyed the cool breeze). i stayed in superior room, a bit small, but really didn't need a big space anyway. shower had hot water and mini frig was included in the price (some hotels charge extra). staff was always on hand to answer any of my questions and offered me advice on filipino customs for doing business here. the nights were clear and filled with millions of stars (this would be a great place for couples). i enjoyed going to the beach early morning (low tide) and helping the neighbors find shells and small fish...what fun! will definitely return and stay for at least one week vacation.

You may have your meals served in the kiosko by the sea...always fresh air!
