Serene hotel very peaceful location
Polite staff and well maintained place
9.3
we stayed in the hotel for two nights and it was a total relaxation. although the facilities were quite old already (crt tv for example) we still found the hotel very well maintained and the staff polite and warm.
no 24 hour restaurant though - you have to cross the street and go to soto grande.

Rooms are clean and big
Room and bathroom were clean
7
It's a small resort. They have a clean room and bathroom. The room was big and each room had double sized bed. Our room was at the ground floor so it was nice since it was near the swimming pool. They also have a sitting area outside the front door and the at the back or small veranda near the swimming pool. But when you order food or drinks you have to order ahead of time, since it takes like 20 minutes to 30 minutes to bring your orders. The bar/restaurant is until 10pm only. Pool closes at 7pm.
Restaurant Tip:
If you still want to eat or drink after 10pm, You can go the hotel next door "Sotogrande", their restaurant is open 24hours.

Simply a place to relax for a day
swimming pool, safe location
6.3
This is just a so-so resort. Its quite outdated and not that well maintained. The kids enjoyed the pools and thats it. We had a hard time locating the place but we still had a relaxing overnight stay despite it all.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
near Mactan Shrine

it is peaceful & relaxing. there were 4 of us, all adults including my mother age 75. we enjoyed our stay because of its serenity and its beautiful view.
•location:15 mins away from the airport; entrance to the resort is on the same way where sotogrande & la mirada are located
•transportation: taxi to/from resort was not difficult. taxis can be requested from the fo,waiting time was less than 20 mins, additional php50.00 was charged. taxis are available anytime accdg to the driver who i interviewed as their unit is associated with the hotel.
•lobby & restaurant: well-decorated (better than i expected)
•rooms:2 double beds; hot & cold shower, a/c and cables in both rooms were functioning well; with veranda in each room overlooking the beach & beside the villa pool(we were booked in the 1st/f).drinking water may be requested.the resort should have ramps for disabled persons.
•breakfast: plated (american or filipino), sumptuous, can be served in the infinity pool area, order was served after almost 30 mins of waiting so request in advance
•3 swimming pools: eternity pool, kiddie pool (closed due to strong chemical in use though i think it was intentionally closed because of few guests) & villa pool. the 2 pools though may be enough for you to enjoy swimming. the pools are being shared by guests of la merida & sotogrande, mostly koreans, during our stay there were very few guests in the resort. eternity pool has a lifeguard on duty. proper swimming attire is strictly enforced.
•beach: during low-tide it has many starfishes & sea urchins but during high-tide, water is clear and my husband enjoyed swimming.
•night-time: no activity; dark but safe with guard
•mongolian bbq buffet w/ live entertainment: every fri at php375/pax. delicious except the desserts (cake&fresh fruits) w/c had bland taste. shrimp & tuna were on the list of their menu but were not available.
overall, we enjoyed our stay & we'll definitely come back w/ my niece & nephew.
Restaurant Tip:
Sutokil Restaurant beside the Lapu-lapu Shrine where you will be able to market fresh seafoods and let them cook them for you. Bargain for the price. It is less than 20 mins from the resort.

Wonderful service by the white sand beach
White sand beach and nice pool
5.7
the resort was big and rooms were nicely laid out. white sand beach is right in front of the hotel, and the pool is overlooking the beach, which was beautifully designed. staff were very kind. you have no worries even if your room is located far from the front desk, since you get assistance there very quickly too unlike massive hotels like marriott or shangri la. food was just okay. you cannot bring in your own and its far from restaurants and center of the city/island. some equipment like faucet and electric outlet were very old and coming off of the wall... it may be an old hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Sotogrande and one other hotel are located right next door. These 3 hotels have a lot of Korean guests, since a Korean travel agency is involved in guest recruitment.

Quiet Hotel with Awesome View
Quiet & Serene, and you can see a fantastic view from the rooms and swimming pool
7.3
great place to stay in if you are travelling on a budget. fantastic place to chill and relax as it is quiet and serene and has great view of the sea. the downside is it is pretty far from the city and if you wan to walk a bit, you will be in the slums and the locals will come near you which might be dangerous at times if you are travelling alone. overall, its a great experience for me and my friends.
Shopping Tip:
stock up whatever grocery you need when you go to the city as there is no convenience stall nearby.

Nice hotel but far from the city proper
6.7
I expected less so was pleasantly surprised to see our room as it was.
Bathroom stank. Housekeeping provided a can of air freshener which helped a lot.
If you want a place far from the madding crowd, I'd recommend this place.
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel right across has a 24-hour bar.

on the water, with two relaxing pools
right on the ocean, small sandy beach
6.3
we stayed only two days, the breakfast was adequate but hardly "american"...in name only. the a/c was so noisy, hard to sleep, but you get used to anything after a while. the room was large enough with a small balcony overlooking the ocean. the resort is used by locals as a party and convention location, so plenty of activity, more so on the weekend. the main downside is that the local cab drivers donot know the address, only the large hotel next to it, so getting there was rather complicated. we ended up checking out after two days, and moving into the hotel next door for a better rate, room, and breakfast. same company with three properties together, so they share facilities including access to the ocean beach.
Shopping Tip:
there is a shuttle bus, one way only, to the airport or a local shopping center. this should serve only to grab a taxi into the city for better shopping and site seeing.

Perfect for relaxing
Quiet & Few people in the hotel
8.7
It was so quiet and peaceful due to few people staying in the hotel. What I most like was that it's very Philippines style hotel!! All staff in the hotel are so kind and always smile
Swimming pool was so great especially the ocean view in the pool
But a little far from the cebu city but the staff always call the taxi so it doens't really matter.
