Enjoyed so much of the view at night and morning, of the city of Davao and Davao Gulf.

classy hotel, good service and nice rooms
room view if you get a higher floor and facing the sea.

after changing our room for a higher floor the room was lovely, very comfortable. room service was very good, laundry excellent and good price. swimming pool and the cafe was so nice and prices fair for the surroundings, most importnat is the hotel employees, so polite.
would for sure stay there again.

The latter is smaller but has a good entrance area and well maintained. At check in, about 2.30pm, there was not a smoking room available so we had to check into another room and wait for 4 hours to chnage rooms. The room was as expected although some of the furniture had chips to the paintwork, no hand towels supply and no dressinggown. The appliances worked ok but are getting old.
There was no in room internet available and only 30% of the TV channels worked and reception of those was bad. No news channels worked. A Big downside. Staff at reception seemed to be unaware of this.
The buffet dinner and breakfast, albeit extensive, was mediocre , trying to cater to all nationalities other than Western. That may be a bit cruel but the only reason I booked is because I thought it would be as good. Beer was 160 peso with taxes!!
Nightlife Tip:
There is a good music and restaurant area called MTS, can't remember it's full name.

i always stay at the marco polo in davao because it is centrally located, the rooms are always in good condition, they have an excellent breakfast buffet included, excellent and courteous staff.

The stay at the hotel is very pleasent, the room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel is a tall building and it overlooks the city.
The buffet breakfast is good, with a huge variety ranging from cooked meals to fruits and bread.
The hotel staff are pleasent and polite with very good service, making the stay very enjoyable.
The hotel is located at the city center and is very accessible to many parts of the city from there.
Shopping Tip:
Pasaysay (near Chinatown) offers lots of fruits at cheap prices, especially during seasons, such as durian seasons.

The Best Hotel in Davao
The pool, the food, and the bathrooms

The Marco Polo is an amazing hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The food, especially the Polo Bistro, is delicious and reasonably priced.
Shopping Tip:
If you have souvenirs to buy, go next door to the hotel and visit Aldevinco.
