Spa is a must-go experience for hotel guests. Don't take the room massage service, indulge in one the spa rooms.
The Davao Kinilao (like a creviche) is a must-try in one the hotel outlets.
The buffet is extensive, but the buffet layout could use a more efficient system.

Best Hotel in Davao. Period

Stayed for two nights. Nice rooms, great location, and ncie facilities. If you ask me, the Marco Polo is the best hotel in Davao, bar none.
Shopping Tip:
The Aldevinco Shopping Center is great for local crafts, dresses, and delicacies.

I posted a special request for the room to have a little cake since its my mom's birthday that we're celebrating in Davao.., & yes I got it! Lorie/ Lei - of Guest services made sure it will be there as we arrived at 7pm from out city tour. I love Marco Polo Hotels..

Shopping Tip:
Aldevinco Shopping Area for souvenirs is across the hotel.., downtown is 5 minutes drive.. Gaisano Mall is less than 10minutes as well. You get the best of being in the center out here!

Over the years, I've probably stayed at most of Davao's hotels and the Marco is still the best.
Nightlife Tip:
If you like live music, head down to Chico's. A short taxi ride or 15 mins walk from the hotel

location is centre of city! anyplace worth going is 15 mins away! helpful attentive staff. breakfast spread is just awesome!

I had a great relaxing 5 days stay at the Marco Polo Davao from the 20th of Nov 2010.
The Hotel was managed very professionally by great service staff from the front desk, to the bell boy and having dined at the cafe/coffee house, lobby lounge and poolside Grill restaurant, as well as room service, it left me more than just being satisfied!
The same must be said for the massage that me and my other half had at the Spa - it left us rejuvenated and feeling refreshed after our massage session held in the couple room within the Spa.
Having travelled to many countries around the world, I am totall impressed by the high standards of the staff and I dare say some developed countries are nowhere near the levels of efficiency, passion and dedication that the staff of this hotel displayed.
Kudos to each and everyone of you for you really deserve the praise and acknowledgements!
I will defenitely return to stay at the Marco Polo Hotel (Davao) - in fact, I will be returning again in Feb 2011!
Again, thank you for making our stay a memorable one!
