wonderful staff outstanding breakfast buffet

pool was very crowded - but I was there on a 3 day weekend.

From personalized pickup at Davao airport, though check-in, and for the rest of my stay, the Marco Polo staff was fantastic. Marco Polo was a comfortable oasis in Davao, and well located downtown, close to a variety of good restaurants and shopping areas. The included breakfast buffet was first class, with a wide variety of Asian and Western food. Highly recommended.

- friendly staff - clean rooms - comfortable - nice pool area

- breakfast buffet is made in mind for asian travellers, almost no choice for westeners - internet not free

The Marcopolo offers a luxury island within an generally poor surrounding. Rooms are nicely furnished as you would expect for a hotel of that class. The hotel offers a Airport Pick Up with a hotel van for a nominal fee. Breakfast buffet is large in choice for all asian. Westerners have problem to find any of their taste.

overall a great hotel.

a hotel of this category should have free WiFi in the lobby if not the rooms.

friendly and very helpful staff. Good and elaborate breakfast buffet. nice and well equipped gym with a highly motivated instructors. The hotel is very worth the money and that is even more true for the same hotel in Cebu!

the swimming pool

hotel in serious need of renovation

Supposedly the best hotel in Davao which doesn't say much for the rest. A shame to write this because the staff were lovely. The room was large and lots of closet space but was very 'tired'and old fashioned as was the bathroom. Renovation is needed. Breakfast buffet was disappointing. A request for two freshly boiled eggs and a pot of tea produced 2 eggs which had been boiled en masse at the beginning of breakfast and aluke warm pot of tea

Great service, clean and comfortable. Nice pool!

Food wasn't all that great

I must admit i felt slightly let down when i saw the size of the superior room - but it being the lowest-priced room, it was still very good. Very comfortable.... and with a nice view of the pool. The staff was very nice and accommodating - actually for me the strongest suit of the Marco Polo. What i was dissapointed with was the food. It wasn't all that great and had 5-star prices which i felt were too much.

Shopping Tip : don't buy fruits at the stands near the hotel. they're half the price at the market.

First, the support staff is good. And, it is spacious and clean room

It is not particularly

This hotel is in the heart of the city, where Kuni Noi is easy by taxi, 100 pesos from 200 pesos, it is useful to゙クSHOPPIN many restaurants and a massage and Japan. Then I will not cook much like the Philippines, but this hotel is really good, the Philippines, more than 20 times we went, first, I thought that good, you have also行KUKI in Davao If, at the Marco Polo rule.

Travel tip : It is not particularly.

Breakfast Location

No tourist desk

Marco Polo Davao Hotel is a reasonable and nice place to stay in Davao city. It is located in a very convenient place near the center of the city. Gaisano shopping center, convenience store and Shiatsu massage places are within walking distance. They serve variety of foods for their buffet breakfast; both Philippino and Western (Personally, I was happy with the salad bar, selection of cheese and bread, and traditional Philippino desert.). Even the locals come to enjoy just the breakfast. The drawback of this hotel is the lack of tour desk, if you are a tourist visiting the city. If you are unfamiliar with the city and looking for a private city tour, island hopping tour, or something of that sort, you won't get it in the hotel. There is a tourist agency across the street (Be aware that they are closed on Sundays and Saturday afternoons). The guestroom is old but has been renovated, and reasonably clean. But don't expect something of a 5 star hotel in Bangkok or Manila . (I would say a 3.5-4 star).

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : A few blocks walking towards Gaisano Shopping Mall fron the hotel, you will find Tan Ton Massage, a Thai style massage. 1 hour massage is 200 peso, 2 hour, 400 peso, which is cheaper than Bangkok.
