The best hotel and resort in the Philippines1
Breathtaking beach, views, facilities are perfect
9.7
Pearl Farm has always been perfect, the best hotel and place to stay in the Philippines. If you come to Davao you should not miss staying in this hotel! Absolutely breathtaking!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Make sure to cross the boat to Pearl Farm's adjacent Malipano island. It is beautiful!

romantic resort
wonderful view and resort amenities
8.3
i was supposed to book a samal house, but unfortunately they were all fully booked so i settled to hilltop room (balay room). the room wasn't bad. it was spacious, with native inspired motif. i requested agoda with an oceanview room and it was granted. the view from the balcony of the room was great. bed was kingsize. the only thing i didn't like was the toilet and bath. i suggest that it should be renovated. for a triple a resort, it doesn't fit with the standard. anyway, i liked the buffet breakfast, they offer variety of food to choose from. the infinity pool near the restaurant has the view of parola as background, great for picture taking. it is only few steps away from the balay/hilltop room and samal huts. the mandaya suites/pool are kinda far but they offer free shuttle to get there. on the way there, you'll see man-made waterfalls. worth visiting the mandaya suites/pool. the beachfront is clean and is good for snorkeling ,there are already beautiful variety of fishes near the shore.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Across the Pearl Farm is the Malipano Island,a private island also owned bu Pearl Farm. You can visit it by availing the free boat service, just register at the Parola. Boat leaves to and from the island every 30 mins. But for me, beachfront in Pearl Farm is more beautiful.

Overall the resort is lovely and facilities are complete but the Samal room where we stayed in is not that well maintained
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
The best resort in Davao so far. After exploring the island, there's more to see in Davao city

Great Family Resort
Friendly staff, good food (fresh seafood served at the buffet daily), Samal Suite has the best view, movie night on the beach everyday, kiddie pool for kids

We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the samal suite. You wake up to the sunset and best view of the sea. Suite is bi-level which can occupy 4 adults. Veranda is great for lounging with easy access to the beach.
Staff is very friendly. Always at the service of hotel guests.
Food is good. We had buffet for lunch and breakfast. Kids under 5 eat free. Great selection of seafood and fruits.
My daughter didnt like the beach but was in live with the pool. Both pools (maranao and mandaya) have kiddie pools.
Overall it was a relaxing vacation -- communing with nature and spending a worry-free vacation with my family.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Get the samal suite
Try to catch the earliest boat at 8am to spend as much time at the resort

My husband and i enjoyed our stay in the resort. We are like a newly-wed couple but we are celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary in advance.

Beautiful, Peaceful, Romantic Resort
The scenery & atmosphere are terrific.
9.7
at mealtimes you see how many guests are actually there because there's only one place to eat. and by the way, the food is awesome; i wish i had a bigger stomach. but the rest of the time you really don't see many of the guests so it feels private and romantic. at night time, from the samal house you can hear and see schools of fish jumping out of the water to avoid predation and the constant chirping of insects - it's a very peaceful experience. we sat and watched/listened for hours. there's plenty of daytime activities to choose from so you won't get bored.

Not what ive expected
Good buffet and view at samal house
4.3
I dont like to go to places that is crowded. Although they have a nice small samal house with a nice view and an infinity pool to highlight what i appreciate that time, unfortunately they dont have a good beach to swim or maybe i was expexcting too much since pearl farm is the most popular place to go to in davao. And just to add---when i grabbed their tissue paper in the toilet, theres a cockroach!!
