Great Location and lovely hotel
It is beachfront...big garden to walk in the evening, and no carpets.

Location is great, rooms are spacious and what I like most is no carpets...wooden floor. The hotel is commendable!

really good hotel. it suits us the location, very close to everything shops, church etc...the staff are very friendly and courteous and helpful from meals to accomodation and room service.we will recommend to anyone who wants to stay in davao.

It was a nice place though rooms are far from the lobby .... because its open air but its part of it because of its nature type and typical in the province and not in the city.

if you like a quit and peaceful hotel to stay, this one will fit for you. although the facilities are a little old, they are maintained and functional. the beachfront of the hotel is a best place to spend time with your kids for a bonding moment. i also recommend the pirata resto day or night. only disadvantage is that the hotel is located few kilometers from the city proper. you have to spend around pesos everytime you need to go to the city.

the best features of the hotel is the scenery and its natural atmosphere where there are many trees, plants all over the place. its very spacious because of its garden type unlike other hotel they just maximize the bldg without much views . the amenities are ok. its highly recommended.... you can feel your at province away from manila pollution.

I have stayed here several times, and I find the location nice. It compares nicely with other hotels in this area. I have never seen a better breakfast buffet. The room for the buffet is large and ornate. Very luxurious. The room was comfortable, but not really no smoking. The staff smokes on the no smoking floor when they are on a break.

we have stayed here many times , the service is great the staff is friendly and helpful, it is quite and clean, with 2 great places to eat and the breakfast was great ever time we have stayed there
Restaurant Tip:
Marina Tuna is very near with great fresh fish...

Had a great stay at Waterfron Insular Hotel Davao. The place is nice with a cozy environment. The pool has a great view of Samal Island adjacent to the shore. It is only 5 minutes away from Davao Marina Wharf which takes you to Samal Island. Great food too.

Our stay in waterfront is somewhat like an extension of our honeymoon, since my husband had his convention there following our honeymoon.
The place is serene and close to nature, clean, staff were courteous and helpful. The buffet breakfast during our stay were good, delicious as a matter of fact, they provided us with a generous variety (though I'm not sure if this is part of the convention). However, the hotel is an old one... improvements in the facilities and furnitures might bring the glory, it used to have in the olden days. (FYI: the hotel was built in the 1960s and during that time it is the most modern hotel in asia)
