Adequate but no wifi

Conveniently located. Close to everything you might want to go to in Dipolog. Airport to hotel was a 10-min tricycle ride. The market, the largest grocery store, several drugstores are all in the neighborhood. A "Thai massage" parlor was next door. The seaside boulevard where you might want to take a stroll in the early morning or evening is three blocks away. The hotel has an Chinese restaurant but we did not get the chance to take lunch or dinner there, just our complimentary breakfasts (the native breakfast was fine).
The room was basic, clean, quite adequate for our short first time visit to this city. Some irritants the hotel people should attend to: We had a problem with the toilet as the make-shift string attached to the ball gave way so you had to keep lifting the lid to flush. The wifi didn't work at all in the room during our 2-day stay.

It was OK.

As I said it was OK. I thought myself that the Hotel had gone down hill, 8 years ago when I last stayed there it was so different and as I remember so smart the Hotel but not now. I mean the food was hot when it arrived but not now, if you need something for the room it takes some time before it arrives, everything seemed slowed down. I must say the staff were very friendly though no problems there.

I've given the Hotel a good review even though i did have a problem with my room so was upgraded to another room whilst they sorted the problem.
The staff were very friendly attentive and the breakfast was fine considering it was complimentary. Just make u book you ensure you ask for a room with a window for natural light.

Centrally located modest hotel

I found that an upgrade brought a window and a flat screen tv along with a larger room. There is no lock box or fridge in the upgrade but I did not find eather necessary. The rooms are clean, modest and comfortable. The only concern I had was when the large security force was present when the owner was there. My attractive girlfriend found them offensive and was uncomfortable about their approach to her.
Restaurant Tip:
Try the UrChoice Italian restaurant at ABC College Drive...good Italian food. Excellent service and truly Italian food.(only), Den Dough Magic foffee...did not have any coffee except instant, the service was poor and many items on the menu were not available...it is close but take a trike elsewhere, Big Joes Restaurant...good choices, cheap, not very professional service (one was even sleeping on a table) but liked the food.have Angus steaks but didnt try them...good place to take your Phili friends, Joe chicken ignatio...cheap, good hamburgers, try the buko halo dessert...lots of choices on the menu, CLS Food court...good selection..near the hotel in a garden setting..nice
