Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.

A perfect long weekend destination for the family
Historic feel, great & friendly staff and lots of fun-filled activities offered
9.3
We were upgraded from a standard to deluxe room and we really loved it. The huge garden is well-kept and the balcony gives us a romantic feel. In totality, the place was great but its not as accessible as we thought, we had a hard time looking for signage along the way plus the hotel itself is a little creepy at night because of its historic feel. In addition, we only stayed for a night so we were not able to try the activities it offers. But I will definitely recommend this place to friends especially to big families and big group of friends.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
I suggest for travelers with cars to gas up every time they leave the city so they won't have a hard time to go to places. Attractions are quite far from each other, and its not really advisable to rely on the signage along the way regarding the distance because its not accurate.

Great hotel at a discount!
The hotel is well maintained. The facilities are well kept despite its vast area. The staffs are courteous and very helpful.
8.3
We stayed in a standard room. The room is spacious enough for couples. We greatly admire the landscaping and the hotel architectural design. It is really worth the money spent. It also offers free airport transfer so distance is never a problem for the hotel guests. I would like to come back again in this hotel.

it's our second stay @ Fort Ilocandia; chose to stay here because
PROS
1) location is strategic - nearest luxury hotel to the laoag airport
2) agoda deal is great-breakfast+room+welcome drinks
3) rooms are tranquil- we didn't hear noises from other guests or from outside
4) air conditioning working fine
5) bathroom amenities okay + hair dryer provided - good for me
6) room was spacious - we got one matrimonial + single (good for 3 persons) with lots of space to walk around
7) bathroom heating working fine
8) breakfast choices good - especially longganiza & coffee
9) artwork was interesting too
10) we like the plants, flowers, landscaping
11) my parents could take long walks around the hotel + beach
CONS
when i asked the front desk if i could check in over the counter i was told by the staff that they'd have to check because there were many arrivals that day. Good thing my husband was able to book us online via agoda that same morning.
remote control of the TV had not batteries
not many cable channel choices
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Take a tricycle from the hotel - it'll cost a little over 100 - 120 pesos (special trip)to downtown marketplace - note that tricycles here are really very "low"
Downtown, you can take a calesa to the museum - it's just around 11 per person
The museum is great for you to take your kids to - educate them and yourselves about Filipino/Ilocano culture ...

classic but far to the city.
5.7
staff was friendly but not that hospitable... they need some refresher course with regards to service.
needs improvement with regards to local clients... for they value much with foreign clients.
but somehow it was fun being with that hotel.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
you must try the sand dunes very near the hotel.
