All in all the stay was good, as I have said you get what you pay for......The hotel needs a bit of upgrading , yes, the elevators was slow, needs a better ventilation , specially for family cooking fish in the room....oh boy! The Staff needs a formal training on common greetings and proper endorsement from one shift to the other....
Now I know what to expect....it would be easier to go back to it again...
Travel tip:
It did not matter where you are near at...still have to huddle with the traffic......no comment , status quo...

Pleasant stay =)

We had a very pleasant stay at the Astoria Plaza. It was a fast check-in. Although we came in a little after the regular check-in, they didn't make us wait long for the room to be ready. The staff were very friendly. Wifi was free (that's a plus). We ordered food from room service and it was delivered right away. The one bedroom suite was nice, clean, spacious, no unpleasant smell of cigarette whatsoever (from other reviews), had cable TV, a DVD player. Will definitely come back.

The overall stay is nice. The air-conditioning is good. The room is clean though one cockroach was there. The bed is comfortable and neat. The equipment inside the room is nice. Cable tv, dvd, etc. The room is spacious. I loved almost everything. The hotel is so affordable, and the buffet breakfast is very nice. The staff is very accomodating, and the room interior is pleasing. Nice couch.

the breakfast was fantastic. the front desk is kind dicey checking in and out. am i going back to this hotel or recommend it? i dont think so.i will take my chances to the same hotel around the area. thank you.

It was our second stay at Astoria Plaza service apartments. We chose the hotel because of its proximity to malls and to major roads. But the best thing we love in Astoria is the value for money. Their one bedroom suite is affordable. We really love the space, with all the dining table, living room area with tv and dvd, kitchen with utensils, electric stove, ref and microwave oven, you really feel like your at home. Check in and check out was okay, around 10-15 minutes. They also have parking space for guests (basement) although the last one we had was so small. Breakfast was good, although there were only few choices but they have very accommodating staff. Overall, we loved the hotel and we surely will be back there. If ever you will be in the city (esp Ortigas and Shaw area), this one is a good choice. :)

The hotel is cheap and its location is OKay thats why I booked this hotel last minute. Checking in was terrible and abysmally slow... i had to wait 1 hour to be checked in. I was upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite but they locked the other room so it was not really an upgrade. It was a really big room and it looked great at first... but then i saw the holes on the curtains.. The VERY VERY unforgivable disadvantage when staying here is the SERVICE! I asked for a can opener... which DID NOT ARRIVED even after i called two times. I asked for a scotch tape and a bellboy rang around 30 minutes after the call and told me to please return it to the reception after ive used it (this had me laughing)... poor poor service... i did not even bother to eat my free breakfast because i wanted to get out of there as fast as I can in the morning... and CHECKING OUT also took forever!!!
Travel tip:
Book someplace else... sure this is a cheaper hotel by comparison... but you wont be impressed by the service and hospitality.

The place is very near SM Megamall and Ortigas business district. The only issue I encountered was the traffic I had to deal with in Shaw Blvd.

we enjoyed our stay here, our kids had fun running around the room because it is big compared to the usual hotel rooms. There's a 24-hr convenience store besides the hotel so its easy to buy things when needed. Buffet breakfast is good enough for the price paid. Also, i didnt encounter any problem with my booking thru agoda. I highly recommend this to guests with families / kids . They also have a swimming pool but we weren't able to try it out, maybe next time. Overall, it was a great stay for us.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at the Astoria hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and good value for the money. There are 2 air conditioners (1 in the living room and 1 in the bedroom) so you can have one going at a time if you prefer not to have one on in the room you are currently in. The restaurant has a excellent breakfast buffet and all the meals where of the finest quality. We had good sleeps on the quility beds.
Restaurant Tip:
buy the package that includes the breakfast with the room because the breakfast buffet is very good value

I stayed there for 3 nights....very bad experience...i booked one bedroom suite....when i first checked in. they assigned me an room, when i open the door to this room...the room had never been cleaned or made up from the previous guess. the room smelled very bad and it look like it has not been cleaned for long time.
then i went down to front desk, they gave me another room, the keys this room does not work...when i finlly got in the room, the phone in the room doest not work...when i use the toilet, the water started to leak out from the water suppy pipe to the toilet tank...
this is a service apartment...actually it's mixed use...some of the owner of the units live there like a condo and some of the investor brought the unit and turn over to the management for hotel/rental use...there is no professional management onsite...the staff at th front dest and door are not helpful and just stand there when i check in and check out....there is no professional staff anywhere....
STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED....STAY AWAY...
