pleasant surprise
Clean, big, spacious rooms. Contemporary feel of the hotel. Service of the staff.
8.3
Astoria Plaza is situated in a street accessible to public transportation, i.e. taxi and jeepneys.
About 2 blocks from the hotel is the upscale mall, Shangrila Mall beside the mid-range mall, SM (Shoemart) Megamall. Adjacent to the malls is another 5 star hotel. 10 mins by taxi is the Greenhills shopping area. 20-30 mins. (depending on state of traffic) is the Makati Business district.30 mins is the Manila downtown area.
A pleasant surprise, it is a hotel with excellent value for money.
If you are looking for a place to stay in the Pasig area, look nowhere else.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Situated in the same building is the Santis Deli. If your room comes with a kitchenette, then you can easily purchase some grocery items, (including some meat and fish items) in this upscale deli, and whip up a dish or two. But of course, the malls where restaurant choices abound, are just about 2 blocks away, and are easily reachable by public transport.

2nd Stay
I like the accessibility of the hotel.. the convenience of staying near malls and business centers..
7.7
This would be my 2nd time to stay here and although one of the front office personnels was not friendly, i am contented with the rest of my stay.. the room is clean and well-kept.. food was ok, i liked the arroz caldo.. unlike other hotels' breakfast buffet, this hotel's did not have plenty of viands to choose from but i'm satisfied with what they had prepared.. as long as there's coffee, eggs, bacon and fruits, i'm good..
Shopping Tip:
there are lots of shopping areas to choose from.. by walking 3 blocks from the hotel, there's shangri-la mall, across is star mall, beside it is sm mega-mall..

Great stay!
Big space - living room, very modern furniture yet comfortable. Perfect for small parties, families and gathering of friends.
8.3
I really liked our stay here. My 4-year-old daughter loves our 1BR suite maybe because it's spacious and very clean. You could say she's our hotel critic saying things like "this is a nice room", "wow, what a nice hotel". It's also near the mall so you can go shopping if you like. The buffet breakfast is good and very filling.
Shopping Tip:
Near Megamall, Shangrila and The Podium

Astoria Plaza
Clean, spacious rooms (2 bedroom apartment), courteous staff.
7.3
My fiance booked this apartel for me during my visit to the Philippines with some friends and overall it was a good and clean place to stay. the only few setbacks was that it was a little out of the way from the main attractions and shopping malls as it was located on one of the backstreets of the ortigas area.

Astoria Plaza Experience
Room was nice for the price. The Hotel is located about 15 to 20 minute walk from major malls, like Mega and Shangrila Malls.
7
The Hotel in general is good and clean for the price, I found the food to be very good, enjoyable, tasty very traditional filipino "Don't expect nothing super fancy" I found the Hotel staff to be courtious and helpful. I would stay again at the Astoria, I would give the Hotel a chance again.
Shopping Tip:
The shopping malls are about 15 to 20 minute walk. Many Banking facilities around. Close business center.

An extraordinary stay
Nice size rooms, just like living in an apartment. Modern decor and hospitality was excellent. I got immediate service whatever i asked for. Free Wi-Fi!
7
I had requested a one bed queen or king. Upon arrival i got two full size bed? they could get me another room eventhough my request was for one. So they put the beds together..lumpy middle. The bathroom are so small, wish they could have made it bigger. The location is hard to find for most taxi drivers that are not near. had a few cab drivers that couldn't find the place.
Hotel Feature Tip:
It's a great price for the size room. But far away from many nightlife or shopping. It's really a place for the business person that dont want any distractions.

Good hotel
affordable rates, spacious rooms, with kitchen amenities.
8.7
I was very pleased with my previous stay in Astoria Plaza. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel who assisted me was very accommodating and friendly. I requested for a room at higher floor and he gave me one at the 31st floor. The room was very spacious and clean. I almost didn't want to get out of bed because the view of the city from my room is sooo excellent. The tv in the room is quite small but it's an lcd tv so it's still ok. I was also very satisfied with the courtesy and good service of the hotel staff.
Choices for breakfast in the buffet is not that much but considering the price of the room, I would say the breakfast is still ok.

Astoria Plaza
Spacious room. It's a suite.
7.7
My experience was quite ok. The room was new, nicely decorated and very spacious. It's not spotless, though. There were chips on the wardrope and on the laminated floor. But in general the physical condition of the room is good. What I didn't like at all is the location. Looking at the map on this website, I expected the hotel to be much closer to the MRT station and shopping malls. But actually it is a 10-15 minutes walk. If you're going to take a taxi rather than using public transportation, this won't bother you. The breakfast buffet did not offer many varieties in a day but they changed what they offered every day duing my stay so it was nice.
Restaurant Tip:
Don't order Astoria pizza or probably any pizza from Room Service. It wasn't a real pizza, but rather like a thin bread with some bacon cream on it.

My stay at Astoria plaza hotel
Suite price
spacious rooms
accommodation
View of manila from the the hotel
people

This is the first time I booked in Astoria plaza, it's a nice and beautiful place. the suites are spacious and colored. living there you feel like at home. you have fully equipped living room, kitchen, dinning room and bedroom. to save money you can cook your own meal and enjoy it with friends. you can also enjoy a rare view of manila through its wide windows. It's a nice place to go a share with friends because you have the possibility of two or three bedrooms per suite. My next trip to manila will be with my European friends, and I am sure that we'll book in Astoria plaza to share a suite in that great place.

A Must Try Hotel
spacious room, courteous staff, kitchenette,
9.3
I would give it a 9 out of ten rating. We used it for my wedding prep. The bed was spacious, the receiving room is great too. There are even working amenities int he kitchenette and there weren't any problems at all. They would require you to leave your credit card and or a cash deposit of 3,000 pesos as security refundable upon checkout.
The only thing that bothered me was the high cost of local calls. but i think given all the value for money amenities of the hotel, i can overlook that.
Will definitely go back..
