My wife was challenged every time she was by herself as like she was a bar girl! Food wasnt good. The staff wasnt nice. Room wasnt vary clean for the price that i paid.
You can find a much better hotel for cheaper prices. I wasnt happy with the place at all. That was my third hotel and the other two was all ready booked so i tried it there for couple nights.

getting old and area around hotel has become really run down.
this hotel area has become run down and so many homeless people and kids live around it. if you go to 7-11 across the street you will see what i mean. They will be on you like soy sauce on rice. the shower works good though, plenty of water pressure and hot water. the rooms are getting run down . Also every TV remote control is missing the plastic battery cover.
Shopping Tip : sm manila or robinsons place malls are close

great staff service, good location and nice cafe
carpet a bit old and tatty but otherwise a nice stay. no wifi in the rooms
I needed a place for a 2 night stop-over while in Manila and I chose the Bayview Park hotel. The hotel was clean, tidy, with a nice reception area and great staff. The stay was enjoyable and the location was handy to everything. I recommend this hotel for someone who needs a no-frills stopover. Wifi in the lobby was reasoably priced at P50 an hour. Late checkout was also reasonably priced.
Shopping Tip : only P40 for a metered taxi to Robinsons mall

The hotel is a good place to stay, my only problem is there is no safe in the rooms which is a real pain.
The hotel is old but on the whole for the price its OK.
Forget breakfast, the food is crap, just go out the door go left then left again and there is a pub called the swagman, the food is good there.
Restaurant Tip : Out the door go right then first right walf up the road 50 mtrs and there is a Chinesse rest on the left, cheap but good food.

We liked the rooms, the food is great, the people that worked there are very helpful.
we did not find anything that we didn't like in the hotel
The hotel's rooms are really nice, very affordable for the price for a really nice room. The maids are very good at what they are doing, everybody in the hotel are very accommodating. Great location. We had a great experience at Bay View. We will definitely come back here and we personally recommend the hotel to our family and friends!

Directly across the street from the US Embassy and right next door to not one but TWO Starbucks.
main elevators are small (8) and in the morning trying to get one is a trial in patience. There are other elevators in the building, but you have to go on safari to find them. Not a big enough con to stay away from this hotel. It is a great value and the staff is very friendly.
The staff is very accommodating and the hotel is a pleasant place to stay. The elevator situation leaves much to be desired and had me wanting to use the stairs for a five story climb and descent on more than one occasion, but much like taking a chance on Jeepneys, you just have to grin and bear it. Overall though this place will be my choice whenever I am forced into Manila on business. Oh, and the breakfast buffett is very nice also.
Shopping Tip : Mall of Asia is just down the road (Roxas Blvd). If you have never been to Manila, FORCE the taxi driver to use the meter and give a receipt. It is now the law in the Philippines and some unscrupulous drivers are evading taxes and overcharging by not using the meter. You can text your driver complaints to the LTFRB number that is on all public vehicles. Don't forget to get his tag number.

The hotel is OK for the money.
Have to say don't get to excited about breakfast its crap even though its free.
When you go out of the hotel turn right then right again, just up the road is a place called the swagman, great place for dinner and a drink.
This Hotel is very old, its clean enough and the staff are OK, I have stayed in better places.
On other thing to consider is it is directly opposite the US embassy.
Nightlife Tip : Just around the corner there are many great bars.

No hotel lobby. They need to hire more receptionist to cater to all their guests. They also need to improve on their safety, my sister slipped in the buffet area because of a wet spot. They weren't apologetic about the incident.
No free wi-fi.
Sink clogs easily.
Good value for your money. The hotel to stay if you have to go the the US embassy in manila. Location wise, this is the hotel to be.

I stay here a lot but this hotel sometimes has problems. I guess depends on what floor they put you on because some of the rooms have been remodled the past few years while some rooms are horrible. But all in all they are pretty clean and i never see many bugs here. Just an occasional ant or two from time to time. The shower is good too, I never had a room that had a poor shower. Always plenty of hot water and the water pressure is great.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rizal/Luneta park is close. Its safe there and great place to go people watch, hang out with friends and family, just chill there.

Clean, friendly staff, from 7th floor upwards nice view of the bay and swimming pool
Food is not over the top, no sitting area at lobby.
Form the hotels I've tested so far in the Ermita Area this is the one I liked best, not only because it's very convenient location a Roxas Boulevard and next to Rizal Park and Intramuros, but also because the facilities are the cleanest and most well kept so far. You even have a small swimming pool on the top of the building. Users generally critisise the lack of sitting place in the entrance hall, but I wouldn't consider that a major drawback. If you would like a nice view of the bay you have to ask for a room that is above the 7th floor (there are 14 in total, as far as I remember). Best experience for this category of hotel in Ermita so far.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Rizal Park and Intramuros as you exit the hotel to your left withing short walking distance.

I loved the fact it was a walk away from the Embassy, this definitely was what I needed. The room was excellent, everything worked properly, it was definitely better than your average hotel/apartelle in Manila. Friendly staff.
There was an overly long wait when checking in, and did not like the fact you had to pay 2,000 pesos as a deposit after you already paid for the hotel room. Also there was no way to heat water, but luckily the friendly staff there was able to boil some water for us.
All in all, I would give this hotel 4 stars out of 5 for the money spent. It was exactly what was needed and had a great location near the US embassy.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very close to the US Embassy...so if something were to happen, and you need to keep in contact with the US, then US soil is not far away for protection or answers to any immigration questions you might have...this place also is near the malls, and airline spots.
