location, in the middle of nowhere internet was too expensive to use, location was in the middle of nothing. needed taxi and an hour to get to any location of interest. ended up spending more on taxis that I would have on a better room.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Select a different hotel, better to spend more on the room than on the taxis getting to where you want to go

the hotel is not too bad for the price. staff seem friendly. facilities are acceptable. the area around the hotel is kind of wild. Red light district.

overall, based on the amount paid, it is considered not too bad afterall. Nothing to complain about. staff is friendly, though service can be slow at time. water pressure is weak, and aircon was not working on two occassions

Generally good value for money. Buffet breakfast was good, staff generally helpful. Towels and sheets look very old and grey. The hotel car service is absolutely exorbitant. I will never use it at these vastly over inflated prices. My wife and I stayed here in January. We had originally only booked for three nights but after the last night we decided that we didn't really want to start looking for another hotel so extended our booking. The food is generally not bad although I would have liked to have had bacon on the buffet menu a few more times than twice in two weeks.
Room cleanliness is pretty good although some of the furnishings are getting a little worn and grubby. The sheets and towels were changed every day but even the clean sheets looked grey. The towels appear to be ver yold and have none of the fluffiness which I would expect from a quality hotel.
The staff were always very polite and helpful.
The only real downside is the price of the hotel car service. I was absolutely astonished at how expensive it was. I would not recommend that anyone use it. There are always plenty of cabs in the main street.
Hotel Feature Tip : Don't use the hotel car service. get a cab - you'll save enough for a couple of drinks.

Nice big rooms, and good price. I have been traveling to manila over 50 times and I don't think you can get a better place for the money. No really. Not for the price anyway. Maybe just lack of fitness room. Best Western Astor Hotel is located next to night life in Burgos. Great location for night life. All restaurants are open till very late and some are 24 hours. Close to Greenbelt and other shopping centers, only 2 min by cab and 40 peso. Rooms are reasonably clean and big. Can't get better value for money.

good location, helpfull staff, ants all over the , even in bed i found ants, not acceptable, i liked the hotel and the helpfull staff, but ants are all over , i changed the room but the other room was even worse with ants, poor breakfast, cheaper than other hotels, if u can get a room without ants and u dont care about breakfast then its a good place , rooms are big and comfortable if there are no ants in bed, dont take a taxi from hotel, ask always for meter taxi from beside , always cheaper.
Nightlife Tip : bars and cafes and resturants , all beside this hotel

1. The rooms were sensational, very clean and well maintained.
2. Friendly Staff. No tourist information provided or displayed. Had to ask for it from the front desk. Surprisingly limited tourist info for a hotel of that stature. Hotel location was ok. Close to convenient stores (eg.7eleven) and restaurants however we didn't like the hotel entrance which was located on the side of the building in a dimmed alleyway.

location not bad, not too far from the malls, like Glorietta, SM Makati. Well this is my 4th time to stay at the hotel, I don't have any comment, I believed they did a lot of renovation. the bathroom counter it seems new. Best Western Astor Manila, the accommodations was great, staff was very polite, well mannered. Breakfast was delicious, you ask them what you want they will serve you with a smile.

Friendly but no real service attitude The hotel is a bit outside but close to the CBD area. A big mall is 5-10 min by taxi. Rooms are clean but nothing spectacular.
There are some bars around if you like Filipinas in swim suits and some fast food chains and middle class restaurants.
The breakfast buffet was OK but once served sour milk to my girl friend. Instead of an excuse the look of the waitress was as sour as the milk that she had to walk again.

Lack of staff and maintenance. Maybe beacause of the season but the hotel was unable to make up my room for the entire day - after requesting it about five times I finally have to change room. The wallpaper in the room were falling of the walls and the blinds/curtains were a mess. The location is good for getting to the malls in Makati but the neighbourhood is seedy and geared mainly towards korean tourists.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : It's easy to get a taxi on Makati Avenue despite what the hotel staff tell you in order for you to pay five times more for their car.

We got a special price for 3 days stay in the hotel so compared to that price the hotel is good. For the original price it is not worth the money. I think the wifi was too expensive. The area is good if you want real night life. Also walking distance to the green belt and shopping centers. The breakfast was also OK.

large rooms, high ceilings, air con, tv. very slow check out, lack of certain food items for breakfast. I was satisfied with my stay at the Best Western Astor Hotel. The staff was very helpful upon arrival and showing us to our rooms. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathrooms were a little older, but sufficient and clean. The location of the hotel is within walking distance of several malls in the Makati area. For the price, I would definitely stay there again.
Shopping Tip : This hotel is close to several malls with just about everything you could ever want to buy.
