Courteous staff and service you with a smile. The rate was very attractive including breakfast in the room for two people. Good security and room service. It is worth visiting again.

Will consider stay again as location handy for me. Hotel very clean and tidy. Friendly, efficient enough staff. Room was spacious enough for my stay, not a family hotel in my opinion. For business, or any traveller who needs internet access I will not recommend if relying on free in house WIFI. My top floor wifi signal was poor , dropping out constantly and very slow at best of times

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and spacious. I really loved the foods they served at their daily buffet breakfast. this hotel is in the center of Ermita which is very near to Robinson's Place and if you want some night life, you just have to walk because the bars are just around this hotel.

The re-furbished La Corona is an oasis if cleanliness, calm and friendliness in a busy, bustling, dirty, rather seedy but fascinating part of Manila.
The rooms are very small, but clean, with hard flooring. The bed is large and comfortable, and the shower is hot. Decent TV with range of channels. Helpful staff, quick check in and out. Security on door, transport available, good choice of food in restaurant at reasonable prices though breakfast choice a bit limited.
Nightlife Tip:
Where to start? Cowboy Grill for live music, Hobbit House for choice of beers, Manila Bay Cafe to watch sport, the band upstairs, and some interesting conversations. Robinson Mall nearby for eating.

Great hotel with friendly staff

Stayed at the Best Western for one night between flights. The hotel is very nicely furnished and the room we had was modern and clean. The whole Ermita/Malate area is quite run down nowadays and could be a concern for some people. Beggars and homeless people sleeping on the street can be off-putting at first sight. The breakfast was good and the whole ambience of the hotel is one of quiet efficiency. We were pleased to see that a new lift/elevator has been installed and is fully working now.

First time at Corona since re-furb. 30 mins from airport if no traffic!! Check in easy, staff very friendly and efficient. Restaurant the same as before. Small business centre with a couple of computers. No pool. Room small and bathroom seemed particularly small, with just a shower curtain partition from toilet...managed to soak toilet roll. No carpet, so easy to clean, but makes it seem functional rather than any hint of luxury. Wall mirrors and general decor make room look modern and stylish however, and good flatscreen TV with full cable choice. Easy to clean, and everything new. Large doubleBed very comfortable. Breakfast included was OK. System for signing in visitors. Hotel transport available and negotiated a reasonable price for a day trip. Huge Robinson Mall a short walk away is like an oasis
Nightlife Tip:
The area is lively, dirty, a bit seedy but full of life. Plenty of choice of restaurants in general area, including expensive Japanese, Korean and Chinese, a range of bars and the Manila Cafe of course still the most enjoyable

The La Corona is a well located, tidy hotel in the Ermita/Malate area. The rooms are large and quiet. The staff are friendly and efficient. Convenient to tourist features, shopping, restaurants in a vibrant neighbourhood.
