Close to US embassy, and Robinson mall. security is good. In a noisy street and lots of beggars around. You have to be careful when you go out, not really safe. Lots of night clubs around. Do not Change money with anybody who walks up to you and offer you any value to change your money. You will be sorry and will not see your money. Be careful here.
This is suppose to be a best western hotel, but we were a little disappointed, because it has no best western hotel values that we know. The building is rundown and the service at the restaurant was very poor. The elevator is just good for one person only. Through out our stay there, We used the stair ways because of the size of the elevator not that we are big people, we could not squeeze in there, too small and old and slow.
Nightlife Tip : Lots of night life around you if that is what you are looking for.

close to shopping and night life Noisy, can hear the street noise pretty easy very nice location, plenty of restaurants around, money changers, shopping centre within walking distance. Breakfast was excellent heaps to choose from and good quality. Rooms ok, clean and tidy but starting to look their age. Clean and well maintained room (Suite). Walking distance to a lot of attractions. The hotel is an oasis in a not too nice neigbourhood. The location provides easy access to tourist spots and nightlife. The room was quite nice with a large flat-screen TV with a lot of channels and a bathroom with a tub. The breakfast was a disappointment with only a small selection of food of mediocre quality.
Nightlife Tip : Havana Club at Remedios Circle is a good place to start the night.

tatty, dirty and in an area that might feel a bit scary for some people. this hotel is in a back street that felt a bit slummy for a first time visitor. The hotel was less than average when compared to other hotels in Manila. I will not go back.
Travel tip : stay at the heritage, a bit more expensive but light years better.

reception , comfort , cleanliness and kindness sight of the window of the room very warm welcome with cocktail.hotel clean, calm and pleasant.personnel always with listen of the customers. Room is confortable and clean. many pub and bar that are a bit dirty surronding the hotel. Location of this hotel is unsafe The suite room is confortable and clean. The hotel is located in the city centre in Manila district but there are many working people surrounding the area because of pub and bar are many in this area. Walking at night is bit unsafe. Staff performance are professional.

close to shopping, clean rooms, great staff When I first arrived at the hotel, I was turned off by the location. However, that changed as soon as I was greeted by the warm and friendly staff. I was helped immediately and helped with my bags and lead to my room. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. The staff was always eager to help whatever way they could.
The hotel is close to the Robinson shopping mall and lots of local eateries. During the day walking around was fine enough...at night it just seemed dodgy...

If your going to manila and have to go to the US Embassy this is a good place for you to stay its close and walking distance only and not just that its closer to the malls too..

Nightlife Tip : just outside the door but be wary with all those hawkers around especially if you are a foreigner they will try to "sell" whatever they are selling but it is generally safe in the area

Can't believe this little gem of a hotel exists in the heart of Manila. Everyone was very professional, and it is an extreme value for the money. Highly recommend to ANYONE travelling to the Philippines! Job well done Best Western La Corona!!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Take a short walk to Manila Bay...all venues are within a short jeepney ride or taxi. Have plenty of small denominations for jeepneys or little snacks or drinks. For some reason, you end up having only large bills in your wallet. Everything is inexpensive based on the money exchange rate, i.e. went to the movies: 2 tickets and large popcorn...8 dollars!
