The place to be in of Ermita
Top Location, self catering studio, staff is friendly and helpfull
6.3
One of the best locations to stay to enjoy Manila's nightlife. L.A. Café is only 150 meters away, Cowboy grill few minutes walk so it can't get much better than that location wise. I also always loved the home away from home feel you get with the studios. Feel more at home than in a regular hotel room.

Tatty but convenient
The hotel has a wonderful view of Manila Bay and the sunset is quite spendid.
7.3
Obviously, this hotel would have been quite spendid when it was first opened but it has been let go. The rooms are clean and comfortable but dingy and tatty. It was nice to have a kitchen to do some cooking but the stove was very old. In the 21st century, a microwave would have been an asset.
Travel tip:
Walk along the Manila Bay walk at sunset...magic

The Boulevard Mansion Hotel was not a bad choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was pretty good for restaurants and shops. The room had a stove in it so you could cook your own food. It also had a water heater with which you could make your own coffee. I would stay there again because its a pretty good place for the money.
Shopping Tip:
Robinson's Place is just a short walk and it is a huge mall with everything you could think of.

Great Hotel
rooms clean employees friendly close to the usembassy
8.3
Have stayed in this hotel two times both times for a week at a time. I find the place above average on all the required aminities water is hot for showers the employes are friendly and ready to help when asked. You are close to several coffee shops in the area as well as a quick cab ride will have you at the mall of Asia where there is any type of food you desire. The embassy is within walking distamce (3 blocks)so if that is why you are there your in a great spot.
Considering the town you are in is Manila the cost of the room is resonable in cost and and location would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay!
Shopping Tip:
During your stay make sure to see the mall of Asia but remember where you are walking you can spend bunches of time trying to get to the door you came in.

Staying in Manila
Close to the embassy close to the mall easy walking to a coffee shop! Cost is fair rooms are clean and comfortable.
8.7
The hotel is situated about 3 blocks from the US Embassy making it easy to get there on time! Across from the embassy there is located two terriffic coffee houses making all the coffee addicts happy is easy snack can be obtain there also! The Mall of Asia is about 15 minutes away if the traffic isn't in rush any meals can be gotten there readily!
The hotel it's self is clean and comfortable with a very friendly staff always willing to help. I rate this a good hotel and whenever in Manila will make plans for staying there.
Restaurant Tip:
The mall of asia has any type food you want and close enough together that it's easy to choose.

A Good Budget Hotel
Price, free wifi, size of the room, staff were good
5.3
It's an old apartment type room. The beds are hard, the A/C could barely keep up. It was a little noisy from the traffic.
But if you just need a place to crash and clean up - this will suffice. The staff were helpful. I didn't see any roaches. Expect ants of some sort all over the Philippines. It's OK. The free internet is a bonus. Most charge for it.

Manila stay
Great location if you need to go to US Embassy , Mall only few blocks away & plenty to do in walking distance.Friendly staff.
6
Our stay at the Boulevard Mansion Hotel was March 9th through March 12th.Our room was on the 7th floor and requested quite room but I guess nothing in this area is quite with early morning traffic we could hear from 7th floor and also the hallways and other guest seem to hear a good bit of noise from all around.Room did have a kitchenette with stove and oven but glass on oven door would slide down leaving open and room to get very hot when used also big burner on stove didn't work, maintenance came up it started to work before they got there but quite working after he left and they really didn't seem to concerned about glass on oven door falling down.I was cooking for my girlfriend so the stove and oven heat didn't help. Also the floor tiles would come up in a lot of spots as room could use an remodel.Bed was OK but nothing special& no safe.
The good part was it was in a good location with Robinson Mall and a lot of places to eat all in walking distance, web cafe all kinds of stores and the Ocean right across the street and the American Embassy also walking distance.
Overall for the price the room was OK and the staff very friendly.
Didn't eat there that's why middle raking.

The Boulavard Mansion Hotel Manila
big room, kitchen facilities, comfy beds, hot water wi-fi internet
6
I found the hotel comfortable and reasonably priced the room i stayed in was on the 9th floor via a modern fast lift, it was large 2 single beds and had a seperate kitchen for preparing your own food complete with afridge and all plates, cups and untensils.
there was a table to seat four people and a comfy sofa, again old and dated though
The beds had good mattress`s and were comfortable
toilet and shower were ok water was hot
Clean Towels were provided but were old and shabby (i used my own anyway)
Its close to lots of restuarants and 7/11 shops all the major fast food places are within walking distance so eating out wasnt a problem, you could buy provisions and cook them yourself if needed but as i was on my own i did the usual tourist thing and ate out
there is internet in the rooms and cable TV so apart from being very dated and in need of refurbishment it was a pleasant stay for a couple of nights, staff were friendly and helpful
Taxi fare to the airport was 300 peso fixed price
(5th March 2010)
Would i go back there? prob not, next time i will try a different hotel with better decor
Nightlife Tip:
lots of good bars and restuarnts nearby quite safe at nights too
