i bought one night's stay (without breakfast buffet) and wanted to pay them directly for the second night (with breakfast buffet), hoping i could move the buffet to the first morning instead of the second. the front desk did not want to agree to this little request so i decided not to extend my stay. their loss!
other than this incident, i had a wonderful one night's stay.

Old Hotel. No Way 5 Star!

This hotel was run down and well over-priced. I've stayed in nicer places in Manila for less than a third of the price! If I was you, I'd book to stay in the Makati area as Emita is not very nice. The pool was dirty with cracked tiles and the sunbeds were filthy. The room had a balacony, but for "safety" the door was always locked, so we couldn't use it!

Well located and friendly staff
we found the staff were obliging and friendly. our room was spacious and clean. the breakfast buffet was as good as any other venue we have been to.

this hotel is near to harrison plaza which has an sm store and restaurants etc. we stayed in 5 star venues on this trip but century park was better than them.
Shopping Tip:
Even in the big department stores you can ask for a discount i you buy more than one item ... you may not get it but try anyway!

Great staff and service, rooms tired

The hotel has 2 entrances, taxi dropped us to the simple reception entrance, check in was efficient. Down the escalator past the indoor waterfall to the other entrance and the impressive cafe / lobby / bar area, very nice. However that entrance opens out to a car park and a very tired mall, handy supermarket for provisions but much better to head to Mall of Asia for real shopping!
We also liked the rock'n'roll bar, and the very big outdoor pool.
However the gym was tucked down some back corridors that looked almost abandoned. The room was big and comfortable, but the decor was old and tired. The taps (faucets) had been polished so often, the chrome had worn through to the brass, for example.
Staff always friendly, polite and helpful.
This feels like a hotel with it's glory days behind it now, however if you can get a good deal it's still worth thinking about.
Shopping Tip:
Miss the local mall, go to Mall of Asia

Huge hotel with fast service
Near shopping mall, easy access to transporation and friendly staff

It was our first time traveling to Philppines, the check in was fast. Staff was friendly and the hotel has a great lounge to sit down and listen to live music in the evening.
Just across the street there is a mall and taxis are always pulling up by hotel; so you will not have problems with transportation. Would stay here again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Great places to eat near the hotel - just ask the secruity staff outside the hotel. They will gladly help you locate it.

its a big hotel i used it as a prep for my wedding at that time, the hotel is big, full of people, the room is nice, clean and the staf are very helpful, the hotel is an icon when it comes to special occassions, it bring people close and the food is good, too good to be true, my sis, bro, bro in law and wife loves the hotel so much
