The staff is rather polite and professional

Very poor facilities, not a pleasant environment, right in the middle of red light district

The hotel is really shabby. But if you want to stay in Manila for only 1 night and leave early in a morning, you might as well choose it. The room has all necessary facilities for staying there, but the ambiance is not what you are looking for. Besides, it is located right in the middle of the red light district. But conveniently close to the airport where you can get by metered taxi for only PP230-250. Don't think that it is a suitable place for the family.

Travel tip : There are 7/11 and a few cafes, including an Internet cafe, right across the street. The money changer (next door) is giving a good rate. You can get a metered taxi any time right at the doorstep of the hotel.

Anything was alright there, staff friendly and helpfull always

There`s nothing we have to complain there.

All in all we are happy to find this web site in internet which allow us to make a cheap reservation at Citadel Inn Hotel in the center of Makati in Padre Burgos Street. Anything was alright and without any problem there. The staff accept the hotel voucher and check passport and credit card only than we went straight to the non-smoker room which we order before at the 7 th floor. The cleaning of the room was ok any day and we dont see any dirt or insect there so all in all we dont have anything to complain. So we are planning to go again back to that hotel if there is a online booking available.

cheap accommodation, near to shopping center.

needs repainting to make it cleaner looking and beautiful.

this hotel is a good value for money considering the location which is makati city. it is very convenient to stay because there's a lot of convenient stores and fast foods and restaurants within the area. is it also a walking distance to glorietta and greenbelt. it has a small kitchen which makes the guest have the option to prepare food especially for breakfast... the not good things about this hotel is that, there's a lot of bars in the area.

Travel tip : good value for money for long stay.

love the location in the city.

elevator takes forever, and not the best area in the evening.

Great location in the city, Mega mall is only a cab ride away, and there is also Alaya Centre close-by. The actual street/area is a bit shady at night, although is nice to have the bars around. The worst is probably the elevators, only 2 for 34 floors of guest, and only holding people max. 7-11 across the street and lots of restaurants around.

the kitchen was nice-it had utensils, pots, pans, stove, complete with dishes and a knife.

bed was not that comfy.

me and my family stayed there for three days and it was quite cool... the room was clean and cleaned regularly... the location was also convenient; the staff including those at the front desk were kind... and we like the kitchen the most especially because my kids were there-it had a stove, a range hood, pots, pans, casserole, plates, bowls, utensils, glasses, cups and saucers, and a knife... we would be happy to stay there again. the bed though was just a bit uncomfortable and the room, had it been a bit bigger would be nicer.

cheap hotel small but clean room for an overnight stay

weak water pressure

I enjoy this hotel because I use it only when I arrive in manila and sleep there only one night I cant see myself spending lots of money on a room that I will arrive there late in the afternoon and fly out early the next morning I use this room only to sleep and drink a few beers the room is very small but has everthing i need a bed a full sized refrigerator to put all my beer and a shower and a sink they even offered a hot plate and pans to cook but i never used these items i just go out and eat to places that are walking distance from the hotel even the bars are right across the street its a cheap and affordable place good for an over night stay but its not a romantic place but it suits my needs and i am happy that they have a hotel that is in the makati district that cheap and comfortable they even offer safety deposit boxes down stairs this hotel is worth the money. this hotel is near the sm mall makati and the airport also

Travel tip : watch out for the street people in this district don't talk to people outside on the street there

Very central location. Excellent price. More than decent provision of utensils and cookware.

Lifts (2, but either one was under repair for 2 nights we were there). Traffic noise.

I stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment and I'd class this as a fairly good value hotel because of the price and location. Okay, you will see some bars getting to your hotel door, but no one hassled us. All amenities are available, from laundry (30 pesos a kilo), to pharmacies, internet cafe (40 pesos/hr) and a good variety of 24-hour food outlets (even Muslim food, which is a rarity in Manila) are very close by. You can get a back massage for 110 pesos for 25 mins of pummeling just next to the hotel. Best of all, you can practically stroll to the Greenbelt complex of malls and get really excellent dining and shopping there. And at the Petron station, you can jump onto jeepneys quite easily that will take you around makati or to the LRT. On the down side, you have to be quite a heavy sleeper as the traffic can be heard from about 6am, even on the 20-something floor and I once heard awful karaoke singing past 11pm. Air con was very decent and the bathroom was done in marble tiles. Not new, but clean enough. No experiences with any cockroaches, unlike what I'd read and feared.

Shopping Tip : We discovered divisoria, which is a bargain haven, but a mad crush of people.

I will stay there again.

The elevators are a little slow.

Hotel has a good location. Room was good, with two air conditions. Lots of outlets, in all room. Good view, high up. Easy to get a taxi. Security in street, is okay. If you are hungry, there are lots of restaurants, in walking distance from hotel. I will choose this hotel again.

Shopping Tip : 5 minutes from Glorietta, in cab.

Location.

Room facilities and condition.

The hotel was pretty run-down and it need some renovation to improve on many areas in the room: the toilet was noisy when you on it, it was also dripping. the bed was sinking in the centre and the air-con was noisy. The one thing good is its location. Near to many bars and entertainment area. Food was also abundance around the area. Beside it is the Oxford Suite Hotel where the manila hop-on tour stops.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : nearby is the oxford suite hotel where the hop-on tour shuttle stop by. Good to visit manila for first time tourist.

Nice View, nice staff

Room smelled weird, slow/few elevators,

The hotel was our first place to stay in the philippines and we liked it. There where only a few elevators and it took us a long time every time we tried to go to our room.

Nightlife Tip : The hotel is located in the redlight district of makati

The service is very kind to customer. The hotel prepare tools for customer, for example cooking utensils and clothes rack. The sceery is very beautiful.

The building is older. The chair in the room almost break.

This hotel is not bad.Their service is very good for customer. The Building in the area is convenience to go anywhere.Cause the building is very tall(33 floors),so the scenery is strong to see the city of makati. If you have business over there, its a good choose for you.and the price is good for me.

Hotel Feature Tip : So many hotel were build in the area. You will see many high building in the area.It so easy to find them. You may call a taxi to go there, almost of them know the place.

Good and accommodating employees of citadel hotel.

None

Citadel hotel employees are very helpful and accommodating. I never had a problem with the staff during my stay in the hotel. The hotel is quite old but clean. They are changing the bedsheets daily and rooms are also cleaned daily. The room facility includes kitchen utensils. You can cook in your room and will entail savings instead eating in the restaurant. If you opted to eat in the restaurants, there are a lot of good but not expensive restaurants around. It is just a minute walk or even less from the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : Restaurants are just around the corners.
