Great Service, Great Staff, Great Everything!

i frequently stay at the makati-shang or the pen. this was my first stay at the diamond and i must say that my expectations were routinely met or exceeded on a daily basis.
the staff are awesome, and the service is world-class.
i would like to point out a member of the front desk staff for her professionalism, hospitality when i checked in. it is people like her that will keep me coming back to the diamond malate for years to come!
Nightlife Tip:
Makati Hard Rock on Saturdays, the band "DNA" is awesome!
Timog Ave, Quezon City is a strip of bars and clubs. Very chill scene

Overall stay experience is fair. Newly revised in room dining menu lacks variety. Request for pickles for hamburger ordered is not delivered per request. Statement said by Staff delivering in room dining food and taking food order are different. Bath robes are not soft and old. Staff are couteous and hospitable.

Perfect for Family Day

The rooms were very clean - all that we want for a hotel. I Did not smell roaches unlike other hotels nearby. =P I checked the windows for dirt, still clean. We booked a superior room (we were upgraded to deluxe for free!) for our parents. But we (all 7 of us visitors) were allowed to go up and stay in the room until 1030pm. I am not sure if other hotels allow too many visitors in a couple's room but we are thankful the hotel allowed all of us in. Good job Diamond!

Overall pretty decent value for the money. The immediate surrounding area is pretty seedy, but just outside that are a lot of the premier spots in Manila. Security to get inside is very good though.

I was in town for a conference and enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and the service was quite good, without being annoyingly obtrusive. I'd recommend it for business or single travelers. The neighborhood makes it perhaps a bit unsuitable for family travelers--too many people "working the street", day and night. I don't mind it myself, but I wouldn't want my kid exposed to some of what I saw. I didn't, however, find the neighborhood to be dangerous or anything like that. More like "unsavory." If the hotel is only a "launching point" for day trips, etc., then I'd definitely stay with my family. Security seemed very good and professional, and there are plenty of amenities inside the hotel.
Nightlife Tip:
You're less likely to be hassled by the hawkers and touts if you're not walking alone.

It was ok ,But the food could be better and they are to pushies to sevice you straight away they dont give you time to relax they are always in a hurry. They dont listern to you when you trying to explain yourself to them ,I think they should understand the guest a lot more.

There lots of clubs and bars around there

Beautiful & luxurious hotel, Very clean and comfy
Rooms are impeccably clean and comfortable. Bed is wonderful. Location is perfect

Wonderful, luxurious hotel, even by western standards. I am picky about cleanliness, and this hotel was perfect, except for the outside hot whirlpool near the pool, which had a definite smell of dead fish. Other than that, I highly recommend the Manila Diamond.

We upgraded to an executive suite on arrival and it was 8th floor with views of Manila bay and the sunset has got to be seen.
Room was immaculate.Felt it was more relaxed than Sofitel stay

Get a room high up to view the bay.

Have stayed at this hotel before so it was an automatic choice when returning to Manila.
The staff are very freindly and efficient.They are very well presented and very polite and couteous. The security at the entrance is thorough and re-assuring.
The hotel rooms are spacious - very comfortable - well stocked and very clean.
Room service was very fast
The buffet breakfast provided a good range of choices and food was of a good standard.
Would recommend the hotel readily!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Fort Santiago is a short taxi ride from the hotel and is well worth a visit - there are plenty of local guides available to give a good guided tour - recommended
