information at reception not always clear. My fiancee and I stayed here for 2 nights prior to flight back to UK we had stayed here in September and were happy to come back. The staff are generally welcoming and helpful. We were asked on arrival if we wished to join the Diamond Club which would give us breakfast, cocktails and a taxi to the airport for a cost of 2700 pesos however it was not made clear that this was to be charged per night.
One evening we decided to dine at the buffet which was only ok and a bit pricey at 3800 pesos for 2. the rooms are well equiped and serviced.
it was also nice to have fresh fruit delivered to the room daily and a good selection of complimentary items from the mini bar. We would consider returning on our next visit

clean, tidy; nice lobby, swimming pool and restaurant; good service and view the place besides the hotel is not tidy enough. It is a 5-star hotel with reasonable price. The view, services and the room are good. The free mini-bar and fruit provided also give us some surprise. The hotel is also closed to a big mall. However, unluckily, the places besides the 5-star hotel is not tidy. On the other hand, no useful tourist information or leaflet are provided to tourist. And, there is only 3 hours free internet access service provided. Anyway, we enjoy this hotel for our honeymoon.

great extras in the room and you are pleasantly received a bit far from the airport Great value for the room though the view could be better. I was not upgraded in this hotel and the floor was a bit noisy. But it is a great hotel with lots of complimentary goodies. No complains and I will stay here again on my next business trip.

service was excellent, and i've been working in the tourism industry for years now! few minutes away from restaurants, Mall of Asia, and the Airport. From the moment we got out of our van, all the way up to our door to our room, we recieve numurous smiles and hellos. Very friendly staff and excellent service! i was treated like a real guest should be! and during my family's vacation in the philippines, we stayed in a different hotels in philippines, but this hotel top it all off! there is nothing i could say that was bad.... nothing at all! kudos to the bell staff, they were very helpful! Good job, DIamond hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : this hotel is near manila bay, restaurants, mall of asia, and the airport. if your looking for a hotel near makati. i still recommend to book your reservation here, cause a taxi is only 30mins away. whats 30mins to makati, in exchange with a great hotel, like diamond hotel? Right?!

Very nice decor in lobby, restaurant(s) and common areas. Rooms need some freshening. Food not that great. Nice hotel in the midst of a horrific neighborhood. Needs some slight upgrading in the rooms and better food in the restaurant, otherwise a pleasant stay.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You are close to the Intramuros, but be sure and seek out an official guide for a tour if you wish to see it. Do NOT employ any of the freelance horse-carriage drivers outside of the old city. Look for tourist bureau badges.

very helpful staff especially the General Manager who smiles a lot. room 2619 who happens to be upgraded than the other rooms seem to be just the same as the rooms located on other floors. even daily vanity supplies are just about the same. except for additional supplies of LANVIN shampoo etc.. i would say our stay at the Diamond (my husband and I call it that way ) is practically just fine..
we enjoyed it because of the very helpful staff who are always lending us a helping hand whenever needed without being asked...they should just focus on rooms that are paid more.

Metro Manila has a tremendous amount of traffic, getting anywhere takes a lot of time. The location of the Diamond was closer to the tourist destinations that were of interest to me - Intramuros, Malate, Ermita and the ferry to Corregidor Island. Walking the area around the hotel requires an adventurous spirit...some travelers may not feel comfortable with the "bohemian-native" feel. Like any big city there are homeless that dwell in the shadows of 5 star hotels. If you're looking for malls, shopping and a developed/modern feel I would recommend the Makati area.
Travel tip : Hobbit House in Malate. Based on the "Lords of the Ring" the majority of the staff is made up of "little people". The owner gave the business to the staff in '06 to provide a secure future for the workers. Jim, the ex-owner, can be seen sitting at the end of the bar drinking San Miguel and smoking cigarettes most nights. Jim-thanks for the beer and company ~ jesse

Hotel offers excellent service, very good rooms and standard Had a great deal of trouble gaining internet access. Took 2 hours to get sorted. The gym was not very big, and had only 1 treadmill working. Overall this was a great hotel, offering excellent service. Would definately stay here again.

The hotel is good as a building ,but i face a problem when i arrive i waited long time for check in and when reach my turn the girl in the reciption taled me that i have to go in upper level coz my resirvation is excutive , no sign or person ask type of room i resirved,the girls in the front disck r delaied in thair job i wish they have more trained and also no smile on the face appear

The most comfortably bed, fun pool area, perfect location, safe! no Wi-Fi in rooms, Wi-Fi in lobby was hard to find, tv in room is plain. Even for US standards its a little pricey, but it's definitely worth it if you want to feel safe and relaxed. I had a great stay at the Diamond during the stormy season, the rooms were so comfortable. The air was clean, the beds were Sleep Number beds, the bathroom was huge, and there were daily complimentary cookies and soda/water/teas provided. The pool was neat and fun with a poolside bar with yummy foods. The hottub wasn't really heated. The Wifi was hard to find in the lobby (even though they say it was free). Other than the minor cons, I would definitely stay there again because it is near everything!
Shopping Tip : Steps away from Robinsons Galleria Mall.

close to good restaurants.great security,free internet for first 3 hours. friendly and courteous staff think the hotel taxis are a bit overpriced From the moment I checked in I found the Hotel staff to be pleasant and very helpfull. The room was large and very clean with a very comfortable large bed. Room had everything you could want from internet to a well stocked mini bar. The bathroom was large with a bath and shower and lots of hot water and was supp;ied with a good range of toiletries. The breakfast was very good buffet style with lots to choose from. By far the best hotrl that i have stayed in in Manila and I will definatelybe returning there on my next visit.
