Metro Manila has a tremendous amount of traffic, getting anywhere takes a lot of time. The location of the Diamond was closer to the tourist destinations that were of interest to me - Intramuros, Malate, Ermita and the ferry to Corregidor Island. Walking the area around the hotel requires an adventurous spirit...some travelers may not feel comfortable with the "bohemian-native" feel. Like any big city there are homeless that dwell in the shadows of 5 star hotels. If you're looking for malls, shopping and a developed/modern feel I would recommend the Makati area.
Travel tip : Hobbit House in Malate. Based on the "Lords of the Ring" the majority of the staff is made up of "little people". The owner gave the business to the staff in '06 to provide a secure future for the workers. Hotel offers excellent service, very good rooms and standard Had a great deal of trouble gaining internet access. Took 2 hours to get sorted. The gym was not very big, and had only 1 treadmill working. Overall this was a great hotel, offering excellent service. Would definately stay here again.

The hotel is good as a building ,but i face a problem when i arrive i waited long time for check in and when reach my turn the girl in the reciption taled me that i have to go in upper level coz my resirvation is excutive , no sign or person ask type of room i resirved,the girls in the front disck r delaied in thair job i wish they have more trained and also no smile on the face appear

The most comfortably bed, fun pool area, perfect location, safe! no Wi-Fi in rooms, Wi-Fi in lobby was hard to find, tv in room is plain. Even for US standards its a little pricey, but it's definitely worth it if you want to feel safe and relaxed. I had a great stay at the Diamond during the stormy season, the rooms were so comfortable. The air was clean, the beds were Sleep Number beds, the bathroom was huge, and there were daily complimentary cookies and soda/water/teas provided. The pool was neat and fun with a poolside bar with yummy foods. The hottub wasn't really heated. The Wifi was hard to find in the lobby (even though they say it was free). Other than the minor cons, I would definitely stay there again because it is near everything!
Shopping Tip : Steps away from Robinsons Galleria Mall.

close to good restaurants.great security,free internet for first 3 hours. friendly and courteous staff think the hotel taxis are a bit overpriced From the moment I checked in I found the Hotel staff to be pleasant and very helpfull. The room was large and very clean with a very comfortable large bed. Room had everything you could want from internet to a well stocked mini bar. The bathroom was large with a bath and shower and lots of hot water and was supp;ied with a good range of toiletries. The breakfast was very good buffet style with lots to choose from. By far the best hotrl that i have stayed in in Manila and I will definatelybe returning there on my next visit.

Superior service, great rooms, excellent amenities. This is my favorite hotel in Manila. Superior service with a smile, great room service, excellent amenities, and truly an excellent place to stay. The hotel is also located just walking distances away from the malls, the nightlife and various emabassies in Manila. This is a hotel that I would stay at time and time again. I highly recommend this hotel for first timers, balikbayans, and business travellers (since they have great internet connectivity in the rooms).
Nightlife Tip : It is everywhere within walking distance... No taxi required!

Beautiful hotel with very helpful staff.
Rooms are very comfortable. with nice views if Manila. didn t encounter one bad thing in my stays Hotel was very clean, and was in beautiful shape. We stay on the 25th floor and took advantage of the club lounge package which we felt was well worth the money. We entertained guests there every night with no additional cost to us or them. Also has a beautiful breakfast buffet in morning and could relax without leaving our floor. Overall a great hotel and we enjoyed your stay very much.

Good a goood price through Agoda. Previously used Asiarooms, but Agoda had best price on this occasion.
Close to Airport, AMall of Asia,Malate and Makati. Nice big rooms. Nice views Hotel very nice. Helpful and friendly staff. Will use this hotel again.
Hotel Feature Tip : Room service was really good. quite cheap also.

Good Locaton, clean rooms, good service. Reasonable rates. Free mini bar items. Breakfast not included in rate. access to pool. The hotel is on the bay, with partial view of the bay. The rooms are spacious and clean, bathroom is well equipped and replenished daily. Security in hotel is good, so you feel safe.
The hotel is within walking distance to a big mall, with many shops, restuarants and cafes. The convention center, Mall of Asia, the old city, museums etc are all within easy reach. The esplanade is just accross the road for an early morning walk.

As always a good stay in Manila's Diamond Hotel. Will stay again. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a good location for shopping and sightseeing. Nice hotel in a nice location. I am just writing now to get my 500 points... ha ha

International standard hotel in terms of quality, services, ammenity. It takes a little time for check in because I made a reservation on the same evening. The piano in the sky lounge bar should be tuned up. As far as we stay inside the hotel, we can enjoy comfortable circumstances. Room is very clean and quiet. Hotel rate is cheap comparing same class hotels in Manila.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : You should be very careful about the taxi driver around this area, as they might ask you a extraordinary tip.

Good Location, great food, great service. No DVD player in room, available for rent. Hotel transportation can be pricey but it is easy to get a regular taxi instead. The staff there were very friendly from the doorman or doorwoman, the front desk agents, operator, and housekeeping staff. I was very impressed by the service at all encounters. I wish they had put in the DVD players which they rent for 500 pesos per day. I had good views, a very clean room, and smiles greet me each day. The next time I stay in Manila, I will be at the Diamond but will bring my own DVD player lol.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Very close to Robinson's Mall, only a few minute walk away. Start off there, only a minute to the casino also.

Friendly staff, good location, nice, clean rooms. Very pleasant, tranquil hotel in the heart of manic Manila. Lovely swimming pool and a grand lobby area. The staff were all courteous and friendly. Particularly liked the sky lounge bar, nice atmosphere and the views across Manila are superb.

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, good location, good breakfast buffet. Rooms especially bathrooms are tired and in need of some renovation. Bathtowels are grey and should be replaced The Diamond Hotel is showing its age now but was still a good choice if one wants to stay on Roxas Boulevard. Staff was courteous, especially the Front Office staff, and accommodating. My most serious complaint is that the towels should be replaced as they are old and grey. The bed was comfortable and the black out curtains worked well for someone who cannot sleep if there is light.
Shopping Tip : Robinsons is a short walk away.
