Discovery Suites Hotel, Manila

I've stayed here a few times a few years back and was always impressed by the facilities, the service and the food. Not to mention the location. However the rooms don't seem that well-maintained. It feels lived-in -- like everything is 10 years old. My room was a 1-bedroom suite but facing the wall of the building next door. So it was really dark even during the day. The size of the room though is great, and the working kitchen and refrigerator is a great help but then again you are surrounded by good restaurants outside the hotel in all price ranges. The breakfast buffet sadly was a disappointment. It was chaotic and many platters were not refilled even if it was still 9am. Not a relaxing experience at all because many people were waiting in line. Fortunately though the staff is warm, hospitable and helpful. The front-of-house, the bellboys and the maintenance staff were perky, courteous and extremely friendly which makes it a pleasant place to step into after a long day. The location is also excellent, being right smack in front of the Podium mall and walking distance to 3 other malls. This place is ideal for shoppers or families who like to be in the center of the action without having to endure the traffic.

For the price I expected more, Linden Suites are larger and in better condition; though the food was excellent

The location is active. Close to the Podium, MegaMall and Shangrila Mall. And within as short drive to the bargain shopping at Tiangge. Also close to Shangrila Hotel where there is nightlife is varied and slmost always available. A wide variety of restaurant are available from fast food (with delivery) up to high end restaurant. There is a business center that is open to 7pm so one does not have to go to internet cafe.

This is a very god modern hotel in Manila. The rooms are very big and modern. The gym is very good and the pool area though small was clean. The hotel is very close to some big malls and had a professional and efficient staff. The internet was not working during our stay and was only available in the lobby. Perhpas a short term problem.

Agoda got me a great deal on the hotel and I would strongly recommend them. I think overall Discovery Suites I would definitely stay again. Very pleased. Believe me, I am a picky person and they are first class.

great food, good service. the staff hurried up housekeeping to get me into a room when i arrived early. the breakfast buffet is very very good though the room sometimes gets crowded as people off the the street go there for breakfast

Location was quite good.

i prefer to have varieties of breakfast menus rather than the same almost every morning. the staff are very accomodating, room is spacious, and services are excellent. the location is great because it close by several dining facilities and only a few steps to the mall.

Since many are staying, the restaurant's female staff to remember me again. I like an omelet breakfast in the stands. Previously had soup for breakfast, but unfortunately it was gone. Miso soup because the soup is good to lose hope revived. Front desk staff is always so busy, and there are many more good staff.
