The hotel is clean and the price is worth for money.
I checked in at around 9 pm but I still waited for the room to be ready at 10-15 mins.
The hotel and the bedroom is clean and located in the good location, not far from the airport. It is safe as the guest must have the key card to insert in the elevator going to the room which is good for the solo woman traveler like myself. And the staff is nice helping me find the metered taxi to the airport. But one little thing that I disliked is that I have to wait about 10-15 mins for the room to be ready even I checked in at 9pm.

Only stayed for one night but it the hotel still left a good impression on me, I would recommend this hotel to others. Its location is excellent, only a few blocks from the bay walk area, tons of restaurants in the area, it is located downtown after all so there is lots to do. The price is also right for those traveling on a budget.

Excellent service, very clean rooms, great value and central to everything! The desk and bell staff were fantastic, fast and efficient - they run that place!
Room service stops at 5 pm.
Great location and price - close to water, casinos and clubs. Every staff member was patient, helpful and professional. The desk staff run the place and do a great job. It would help them and the customers even more though, if they assembled a list of local spots and collected numbers, addresses and business cards for customer referrals.
Nightlife Tip : Further north down Mabini Avenue is Cowboy Grill, great food, multiple live bands and open until 3 or 4 am every night. This place is friendly to foreigners (as is most of the country), but take a taxi if going out later than 8 pm.

On the plus side, the room is a reasonably large. The location is excellent. The front desk was much nicer this time than last time.
The hotel does not have a great deal of atmosphere. The lobby is simple and functional rather than elegant.
The front desk was much nicer on my second visit -- last time they weren't terrible but they weren't terribly cooperative either. I stayed at the executive Plaza Hotel twice-- the first time in August last time in January 2009.
The hotel is reasonably priced and clean and reasonably upscale. I would prefer something a little bit fancier but I don't want to spend the money. I've tried a number of other hotels in the area and I found that most of them had very small rooms. So far, this hotel is the best for the money in that neighborhood.
OK hotel.

Nice location, close to mall, bars, restaurants
Rooms dated and seems tired
Stayed at the Executive Plaza hotel in Manila for 1 night in Dec 2008 on a holyday trip.
The staff were friendly and the room was clean. Check in was quick and no fuss. Make sure you keep your valuables stored in the safe deposit box at the front desk; theft in hotel rooms is a problem in the Philippines.
The hotel is located about 5 mins walk from the Robinsons Place Mall (make 2 right turns after leaving the hotel door and the mall is ahead of you on the left). You will find lots of restaurants and cafes in this mall. There's also a 7-Eleven next to the hotel.
I would stay there again, just because there is a problem to find better hotel in the Malate.
Restaurant Tip : there is a nice restaurant Zamboanga 5 mins walk from the hotel

Very close in my beauty cafe shop. The security is very very strict- very good.
Executive Plaza Hotel. The place is very closed to shopping centre Robinsons Plaza, where you can see bargain clothes, movie house, good food and nice coffee shop. What I loved with the hotel is the friendliness of the staff. They have been very helpful to me when ever i need assistance. The room is so cozy, very clean I can sleep like a baby knowing that no stranger will just barge in to my room. Every time i go out i come back with a clean room with out even telling them to clean it up. It is a walking distance to the beauty cafe shop where i can have my hair done, manicure and foot spa and body spa. The place as to me is the centre of everything. The money changer is just there outside. Very safe place to walk, public transport is just there too, jeepneys to take you the market. I am no doubt i will be staying here again in February for my next business trip. Very affordable and pleasant place to stay in. I can highly recommend this place for any person who wanted to visit the Philippines.
Shopping Tip : make sure when you learn to bargain, there are lots of stall in the middle of the mall where you can get good value of your money.

Close to Robinson shopping mall, clean rooms.
Lots of beggars outside the hotel.
This hotel was suggested by a friend of mine that has been here many times over the last few years. The position of the hotel is perfect if you want to enjoy Malate nightlife. The hotel is also at walking distance from Robinson Mall where you can find lots of bar, cafe and restaurants.

Very close to entertainment. Security is adequate.
Reception staff seems to not care about their customers.
If you're solo and want to stay overnight at a place close to entertainment, then the hotel is worth the price.

Close to everything, very clean, staff helpful. Good price!
No problems at all staying here at this hotel other than people trying to ask for money and people trying to sell items and services, but this is typical for the Philippines and should not be reflected negatively towards my stay at the Executive Hotel.
The hotel staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean. Just a few minutes walk to many restaurants and a large shopping mall. SM mega mall only a few kilometers away and cheap to get to via metered taxi. I stayed there a couple times before and always had a good experience. I would recommend staying here and will also book with them on future trips to the Philippines.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Lots to see and do near this hotel.

clean, quiet, comfy, cheap, close to intertainment district safety
hotel room cards sometimes does not work.
I heard a lot of bad things about this hotel. But in my opinion, this hotel is very clean, comfy and safe. I left all my moneys scattered around the table and nothing was taken by the housekeepers. Very friendly staff. It's located in a safe place of town, having a huge casino hotel in front, security guards all over the corners.
Restaurant Tip : Lots of cheap restaurants located around this area. Dont go too far and waist your time in traffic.
