Location and the working staff. Room attendents, security, and bellmen were very helpful and courtous
Restaurant food, administrative personnel.
It's a good place to stay if on holiday due to it's location. Close to shopping Mall with lots of activity going on outside front entrance, including bars and restaurants. It seems to be on a main traffic artery so taxi's are easy to get. beware to taxi's who do not use their meters. You WILL be overcharged if not careful. Overall I would stay there again.
Shopping Tip : A very good shopping mall is right around the corner that has anything you will need.

Rooms were small but clean. Room attendents were friendly and does a good job. Front door people and security personnel were very helpful and friendly.
Front Desk people were unfriendly and seemed too busy to help. There are no safes within the room, only safe deposit boxes at the front desk, which meant opening boxes in public view. there are no private cubicle.
This hotel is a nice place to come to if clubbing and drinking at hostess bars is on your agenda. It is almost in the middle of Malate where there is a lot of activity right outside the the front door with restaurants and bars are very close by. The infrastructre of the building seems to be worn, although repairs were evident to the plumbing, some sewer gases was detectable. Front desk claimed that they were shorthanded thus the poor regard for the guests, indefence of these front desk personnel, when issues (there were not many)were brought to their attention, it was handled quickly and efficiently. American express cards are not accepted which was an inconvenience to most people. The restaurant food is average or below with little variety. The wait help was fast and efficient. I am planning another trip to Manila and staying at this hotel. But this time I will be prepared.
Shopping Tip : A good size shopping mall is about 2 blocks away and well within walking distance

Friendly staff, large rooms (corner rooms in the upper floors), good restaurant with reasonable breakfast rates.
Hotel's internet rate at the business center was the most expensive I have encountered (240p per hour). Outside internet cafes charge 20 - 25p per hour and nice hotels charge 60p per hour. This hotel's rate was really high! So I used the outside cafes...
The first room I was assigned for my early check in (10:30am) was in the middle of the the 7th floor and was rather gloomy. It was dark and felt like a prison cell. I asked for a better room and was told to wait until 1:00. No problem. Got a corner room facing Mabini on the 11th floor and it was a huge difference. I liked it a lot. 4 days later, back in Manila, I chose this hotel again and got a similar room on the 14th floor. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and will be staying there again if I were to return to Manila. I paid $39/night thru Agoda in early November 2008.

security and cleanliness is outstanding. I can not imagine how safe my personal belongings was and the peace of mind when i leave my room.
front desk receptionist were not as friendly as they should be. shower has a very slow drainage.\ncable tv was not working most of the time of my stay.
room and restroom were clean and everything in the room were in order. air condition really works good. hot and cold shower were excellent and the water supply was good. no anticipated brown outs and security was outstanding.well lit hallways and no disturbance of any sorts. i will recommend this place to my friends not only for the reasonable price but also the peace of mind and relaxations.

Great location for nightlife
hustlers and beggars outside of entrance
This hotel is a good value for the money. It is in close proximity to nightlife spots and shopping and Manilla Bay. My room had a couple of roaches but hey, it's the Philippines! The service was good, they even let me check out late at 2pm. I will defineately stay there again next time I am in Manilla.

Location, close to two malls, plenty of night life close by.
Noise from streets and hallways. Pricey internet service, expensive food.
For a short stay, the Executive Plaza is a fairly good value for the money. The location is good as it is fairly close to much of the night life in Malate. It is also close to Robinson's Mall and Harrison's is a short taxi ride away. The staff is friendly and the cafe has relatively good food, although a little pricey. The standard room is nice for short stays with a decent size bathroom. One hour of internet access will cost you quite a bit of money(US), so it's best to locate an internet cafe close by. If possible, its best to request a room on the upper floors to help with the noise from the streets. Overall, it's a nice hotel to stay at when visiting. I would recommend Executive Plaza Hotel for your visit.

Decent size room. Good security.
The room smells musky, old, no windows.
First stay at Executive Plaza hotel. Typical of most mid price hotels in Manila, its old, smells a bit and not extremely clean. There were no windows in the room, but there were still mosquitos in there. I was also charged for a cracked glass when the glass was already cracked when I got there. The location is pretty convenient, close to Robinsons Mall and station.
Nightlife Tip : Place is located in A Mabini St, close to LA Cafe, and also Cafe Havana.

Great location in the heart of Malate. Friendly and helpful staff.
This was my second time staying here and I think you can't beat it for the price. And the staff even remembered my name too.
Hotel Feature Tip : The taxi drivers that park in front of the hotel are a great source of information. And they're honest and fair too.

great Malate location, nice lobby and staff, clean and freshly painted hallways, desk for ur laptop, must buy WI-FI card and get email settings, comfortable bed - not hard like most Asian beds
Hotel is old, you can hear street noise in end rooms, best to be in the middle, get non-smoking room otherwise it will smell like smoke, food is expensive - tip: get breakfast next door at Riviera Mansion for P100 less
I have tried most of the Malate hotels and this is the best for the price. Only $39 thru agoda.com great Malate location, nice lobby and staff, clean and freshly painted hallways, desk for ur laptop, must buy WI-FI card and get email settings, comfortable bed - not hard like most Asian beds. Hotel is old, you can hear street noise in end rooms, best to be in the middle, get non-smoking room otherwise it will smell like smoke, food is expensive - tip: get breakfast next door at Riviera Mansion for P100 less

Close to Robinson shopping mall and Hyatt casino.
Noisy, bad air conditioner location.
This is a hotel in a very convenient location. A 7-11 is just next to the hotel, the Hyatt casino entrance is just in front of the hotel's gate across the Mabini street. Robison shopping mall is within 5 min's walk. The room I got is on the Mabini street, very noisy all day long because of the huge cooling tower across the street even though double layer windows are equipped. The room has an independent air conditioner which is located below the windows, cool air blows directly toward the bed, could be a problem to people who dislike direct wind blow when sleeping.
Nightlife Tip : Best casino in Manila is just across Mabini street.

Close to the Bay walk, which is the most beautiful place in Manila.\nAt the heart of Malate, which is the bar, club and entertain center of Manila.\nNice and well-trained staff.
The room is not free which smoked-smell.
I like this hotel for my business travel. It nice, quite clean, warmly staff and centralize. The bad thing this the road is so noisy, and the air conditioner flow directly to me on the bed!

clean, quiet, spacious, security good, free safety deposit box, free newspapers, good restaurant and bar, good in-room massage, friendly staff, short taxi to airport
wifi access expensive, street traffic busy
this hotel is reasonably priced and is clean and quiet. the staff is very friendly and helpful. lots of pros. a few cons as noted above. i would stay there again and highly recommend it. Robinson's shopping mall is close by. lots of restaurants nearby.
Travel tip : wifi/computer access is rather pricey. there are low cost alternatives right around the corner.

Better breakfast, Internet, safe in the room
I knew that I am not going to stay in a 5 star hotel. But what bothered me the most was the breakfast which was really the worst I have ever got! Better is to charge for a decent breakfast and than its ok. The staff was doing a good and nice job. The room was rather noise but not due to a elevator or people that were going in and out no there was always a engine running which made a terrible noise in the night.
